I agree with the call for more tests, so we can see just how the values effect the combat dynamic between comets and... well, dynamics.

I doubt this Idea would fly but, Here we go anyways.
If we were to have Mechs be able to add on the Dodging Pools, then We could give Pilots in there "Home" Mechs a slightly bigger pool boost than anyone else.
Like if R-1 Were Piloted by a Martian Successor, The MS would only get maybe 10 Extra PCs in the Pool where as a Psychodriver using R-1 would get maybe 15-20 PCs instead.
( In the Case of Tensai whom don't have any Mechs of there own, We could Allow then to be able to have the "Home Class" Pool anyways, they are Tensai after all.)

Why not have the size of a unit also affect your dodge pool?

I like that idea a lot. It'd be nice for size to have a point without having to have multiple size-units in the same fight...XD

Humm, that's not a bad idea. And we can give certain classes Dodge Pool Bonuses or Penalties based off how evasive they are. For example, a VP would get a +50% bonus, where as an SR would get something like a -20 or 30% penalty.
