Anyone use free barriers on units are a bad idea. Fire Wall used to be insane because of this.

Slit Wafer will just be removed entirely. It's entire point was to specify that the unit was an Antibody. And Chakra Shield will not be free. It costs EN in A2. ..In Alpha 2 Antibody was a class, vital jump didn't cost En, All Brain Powerd units had 3 item slots, chakra shield extend lasted for all incoming attacks =P If it were to remain free on a Brain (shouldn't for any other type of unit) how would that be broken? seeing that people always put Attack altering items on there mecha making -15 practically nothing?(this is a question meaning no disrespect Mechalomaniac)

No disrespect taken. Two words: Mazinger pilot. They (or any Dynamic class) can easily get damage per hit to below 15, particularly in that rank of units. Essentially they'd be totally invincible.
Stuff like Aura Barrier, Nendou Field, and the current Chakra Shield are fine because those classes don't have DR (Hyperize aside), but when you factor in the pure damage reducing capability of Dynamics (and Heavy Metals to an extent), things get broken.

I had an idea. Since this was actually a pilot skill in @2, why don't we incorporate an Antibody Reaction Level pilot skill once we get those added? Then we can keep it pretty much true to game and get away with deleting the class.

A2 also does not have multi-hitting weapons. All weapons hit once. Thustly, you cannot really compare the way the game handles it to the SC. G-Territory also blocks every attack, remember, but we don't have it do that OR extend to allies.
So what if it's a skill in A2, as well? That does not mean that it's a basis for a class. Where's our Category F and Newtype (X) classes? They're also unique pilot skills, and have been so in more games then Brain Powerd have been.
And since Kait suggests that, there's no real reason why we couldn't also have Category F/Newtype (X) skills. I don't think we should be doing that.

The point is it's a more unique skill that has some basis and lets you focus on series X of units, and having it as a skill rather than a class would be preferable and more likely to happen, I think. Newtype (X) and Category F would be entirely pointless because we have the Newtype and Enhanced Human pilot classes, but Antibody Reaction Level would have enough of a tangible bonus to bother with. I could see doing the same thing for EVAs and Synchrorate too. I'm not saying it's an answer for every series ability, but considering how hard it is to get a class erased, even if next to nobody uses or likes it and it's otherwise redundant, it'd be easier to pass converting it to be an ability instead.

Maybe we should wait until Pilot Skills are passed first, and whatever form and rules that may go along with them.

Well if the skill going to be considered, it'd be easier to talk about it early as opposed to trying to add it in later.

I don't think it will be long before we see Pilot Skills in the SC.

Sorry for this but i cant just give up on the idea i spent time making, not in my nature. Antibody PilotStarting Max SP: 80 Maximum SP Cap: 160 Skills & Abilities:- Dodge Cost is 11. Minimum Dodge Cost is 5.- Countercut: 2 EN or 4 PCs - Antibody Reaction Level: Decreases Dodge Cost, increases target's Dodge Cost and increase Damage dealt. Can only be used in a unit equipped with Slit Wafer.Private: Dodge Cost -3, Weapon Damage +5% Corporal: Dodge Cost -4, Weapon Damage +10% Sergeant: Dodge Cost -5, Weapon Damage +15% Ensign: Dodge Cost -6, Weapon Damage +20% Lieutenant: Dodge Cost -7, Weapon Damage +25% - Chakra Shield Extend: Increase the number of allies that can be protected by Chakra Shield. This will only be active on the first attack received by the ally. Pay 1 EN per ally. Private: 1 ally Corporal: 2 allies Seargent: 3 allies Ensign: 4 allies Lieutenant: 5 allies - Chakra Shield Full Power: Negate all damage that targets you and/or your ally for 1 turn. Does not negate status attacks. Usable after 3 turns of charging. Number of allies that can be affected depends on rank: Private: Yourself only Corporal: Yourself and 1 ally Seargent: Yourself and 2 allies Ensign: Yourself and 3 allies Lieutenant: Yourself and 4 allies Conversion Cost: 1200 PCs Series of Origin: Brain PowerdOk, my reasoning for this idea is that i heard alot about how Chakra Shield can be able to protect alot of people and can be extended to almost block off all attack, so i think why not make it this class a team type PD, were unlike D who can protect himself and an ally, Antibody Pilot can protect the whole team if needs be. In lieu with this the units itself would be changed -Vital Jump would become a Unit Inherent Bushin like ability (maybe 3/5 or higher if you wanna make it like the game were morale is a facotr) -Brains, Chers and the likes are usable by anyone, so would Chakra Shield. Slit Wafer would probably remain as it is (maybe adding in the ability to produce a Chakra Shield) and Chakra Enhancer probably be dumped Any suggestions and constructive comments are welcome, if you dont have anything nice or constructive to add please keep it to yourselves Finally iam not claiming this is the best solution, but atleast im suggesting one and not just chucking it out the window.

No, Chakra Shield does not work like that. The only time it blocked huge attacks was when a bunch of Brains and Chars combined their Shields like Planet Defensors. No one Antibody can do it, and our current setup already allows for that ability. Not to mention that what you suggested is just plain insane, and makes Psychodriver redundant.
Like I said before, the pilots are nothing special, and all abilities were from the Antibodies themselves. Seriously, there is no special "Antibody Skill" that pilots need to be able to use an Antibody. There's no special pilot training.
Removal is a serious suggestion, and it should not just be tossed aside. I mean, look at what everyone's suggesting, now. First people were ripping off Martian Successor, then Ninja Senshi, and now Psychodriver. If all anyone can offer is to clone other classes, then what's the point? Especially when the suggestions makes either the original class or Antibody useless in comparison.

I understand the logic behind scrapping the class, but I don't see why it wouldn't be redundant as well if it were made a Pilot Skill. What will it do, anyway?

It would just replace Antibody Reaction Level, most likely, and no other traits of the Antibody Class, as I recall.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Accuracy/Dodge bonuses only available in Antibody units. It wouldn't be redundant because there are no comparable Pilot Skills on the table to it.
