They just get the normal bonuses for IFS.

> Yes it does. What's an IFS, and how is it applied? And now, if this is an upgraded IFS, how would it be any differen, aside from being a bit more efficient?
So make it work like Greater SDL does. Links up with IFS and gives bonuses.

Since it came up for countercut: the mothership bonus was also chosen a little arbitrarily. While IFS should definitely give a boost to motherships (just because it's stressed in Prince of Darkness) there's a lot of choice what that can be. Anything from that relatively weak DC reduction to a +TDC to increased damage dealt, or probably a lot of other things, would be fine. I wasn't sure about including a mothership IFS +TDC or damage bonus without making it universal across all IFS, though, and I wasn't sure how that would affect the strength.
I like the idea of a mothership DC improvement but I don't exactly see people flocking to use MSes in Nadesico motherships for that one extra dodge, in other words; that part could probably be a little stronger.

No need to worry about REACT System unless we actually have the manga units.
I like this. Making IFS more than just a generic DC/Damage boost is very good, and no complaints about Boson Jump here.
The A-Class Jumper thing was submitted as part of Boson Jump modding, since it gets the nerf attack being changed away from EN-based jumping. I don't really think that Antibody is in need of a similar boost, though if so it should be only in situations where Vital Jump is active, since it's not their ability but rather the Brains'. Really nothing they can do is. There's nothing special about Antibodies in the anime or manga. But let's worry about that when we get to Antibody.

While I agree the basis for A-Class Jumper and giving Antibodies the Terrain thing, it won't matter as much when flying is implemented since I'm pretty sure every single Brain and Grand Cher can do so.
Anyway there's not much I have to say that hasn't been said. This MS looks good.

They should all be able to. There's another point.

As a postscript: I think I'll change the proposal so mothership IFS also gets some HDS-like bonuses, so it's a worthwhile installable there. People seem to think the non-mothership IFS strength is good, I guess?

Any chance we could get an attack boost with an IFS?

Hey DF, if you changed anything, could you repost it?

Sure. The IFS damage bonus in size S units is tentative; everything else is probably good. (Although I am curious what determines SP for the RR pilot classes.)
Martian Successor
Starting Max SP: 75
Maximum SP Cap: 150
Skills & Abilities:
- Dodge Cost is 13. Minimum Dodge Cost is 5. - Countercut: 2 EN or 5 PCs
- Nanomachine Implant: Activates only in a unit with IFS. Dodge Cost is 7, Countercut: 1 EN or 4 PCs. In Mothership Class units, instead of the above bonuses: damage dealt +30%, target's dodge cost +5, and lower DC by 5 then re-lock at the lower value. Lieutenant: Countershoot. In size S or SS units, add an additional Dodge Cost -2, weapon damage +30% and countercut as if you were one size larger.
- Boson Jump: Dodge all attacks from one attack phase. Charge 1 unit after each enemy attack phase directed wholly or partly at you; charge 1 unit after a turn in which you are not attacked by an enemy. Private: Start with 1 use, max 1 use. Charge 7 units to regain one use. Corporal: Start with 2 uses, max 2 uses. Charge 7 units to regain one use. Sergeant: Start with 2 uses, max 2 uses. Charge 6 units to regain one use. Ensign: Start with 3 uses, max 3 uses. Charge 6 units to regain one use. Lieutenant: Start with 3 uses, max 3 uses. Charge 5 units to regain one use.
- A-Class Jumper: Ignore terrain DC penalties. Lieutenant Martian Successors only.

I like it, except I'm not sure where the +30% in S/SS units comes from.

Yeah, I thought the +damage% for S/SS was going to be Sei Senshi's new thing.

Size Mastery (in general) is one of Sei Senshi's new things, but when I saw it I was struck with the thought that something like it should be on Martian Successor for IFS. An S/SS bonus is simply ideal for IFS.
The damage bonus itself for S/SS is just part of my tweaking trying to get the IFS strength right. Right now it feels fine but I can see where some people might have problems; I may change it to TDC +3 or something.

Why not a tiny damage boost AND the TDC +3? It isn't much...
But then again, could we CALL it the IFS instead of Nanomachines? I dunno, it just sounds better.

I'd say the +3 TDC works well enough. Don't need the damage too.
