Hangar Rules: Personalized Units
What are Personalized Units?
[/li][li] For those players with lots of cash or just the urge to have their own custom versions of a unit, we present Personalized Units. For a fee of 250 PCs, a Hangar moderator will look over a submitted request for a personalized unit and proceed to either reject it or create stats for it. At this point, another fee of at least 1250 PCs will be assessed, depending on the strength of the unit and the extent of the customization. An additional fee of 1250 PCs will be assessed for each additional frame or hangar-slot-consuming form which is to be personalized, barring Core Fighters which are free. If this fee is paid, the unit will be added to the Hangar.
This sounds AWESOME. There has to be a catch, right? Right?
[/li][li] There are actually several 'catches', to prevent this system from being abused.
[/li][li] First, dressups and Personalized Units cannot be made into Personalized Units. They're already customized.
[/li][li] Second, if your personalized unit design is rejected for whatever reason, or, after it is designed, you do not wish it to be added to the SC, the initial fee of 250 PCs is nonrefundable.
[/li][li] Third, the personalized unit will become an evolution from its base unit. Depending on the power of the unit before and after customization, between five and ten fights will be required to evolve it.
[/li][li] Fourth, while the price for a customized unit is quite high, it does not necessarily add that many PCs of value to the new unit. Most of the money spent in this fashion is spent for the novelty of a unique, non-canon unit.
Wait, rejected? Does this mean I can't have any personalized unit I want?
[/li][li] Obviously, some unit ideas will not be acceptable under any circumstances. Requests which are too overpowered, underpowered, badly-worded, or ridiculous will be summarily rejected. Certain abilities, most obviously OF Inherent and additional item slots, simply cannot be added through customization and will result in either automatic rejection or those requests being ignored, depending on the moderator's judgment. Use common sense before submitting a request, in order to avoid wasting your 250 PC submission fee.
So how do I submit a personalized unit design?
[/li][li] Submit your request into a thread on the CommLink, and deduct 250 PCs from your PCD. It must contain both the base unit for the personalization and either a list of what customizations should be made to the unit or a full description of the new, personalized unit. Do not submit game statistics, as this will result in immediate rejection. Submit a concept. Eventually, a Hangar moderator will reply with either a rejection or a set of stats and a price. If you accept the stats, reply with a post stating such, and deduct the appropriate amount of PCs from your PCD. The personalized unit will be added to the Hangar shortly thereafter.
Sample of a great (accepted) customization:
Rayearth's Mashins
This customization was both interesting and imaginative, and described in a manner that did not try to force statistics on the moderator.
Sample of a good (accepted) customization:
The devastating Giga Blaster has been left largely alone, but the large barrel beam cannon was instead replaced with a variable-output charged particle cannon based on Guest battleship cannons.
The unit also had it's armor removed, and largely replaced with newer, more advanced substances. In addition, an array of high mobility boosters was attached all over the body, allowing the Liege Geios to move startlingly fast. Finally, a larger generator was fitted to power the new systems, and a shield was attached to the left arm.
The results speak for themselves-- the Big Fire version of the Liege Geios has slightly less armor than it's predecessor, but is faster and has somewhat increased firepower over the original Guest model.
While a less imaginative customization, it's nevertheless an interesting one, as it is described entirely in mechanical terms rather than in terms of statistics.
Sample of a decent (accepted) customization:
- Add one more Item Slot, just like Mazinger Z in SRW Impact.
- Change the armor to Chogokin Nu-Z, as Mazinger Z was upgraded that way in the Great Mazinger series.
- Make the Daisharin Rocket Punch energy based, like 5 EN per use.
- All weapon damage +15%, to reflect the more powerful reactor put into it.
That's all.
While having just barely enough details to be accepted (added Chogokin Nu-Z, upgraded reactor), the acceptance of a borderline submission like this relies mostly upon the will of the moderator who looks over it.
Sample of a poor (rejected) customization:
General Mods:
-more HP/EN/Damage
-possible EN Regen?
-extra item slot?(As if! )
Gaofar
-DC Mod gets better?(-7?) with the Stealth Gao reflecting the same amount of difference from the original DC mod
-Drill Gao becomes a (V) 10 x 2/EN, attacking with both drills instead
-Gaofar claw gets more hits or becomes an (MX) 30/EN?
GaoFighGar
-DC Mod
-Broken Phantom gets the (S) tag?
-Protect Wall gets an upgrade?
This suggestion is described completely in statistics terms, with no basis whatsoever for any of the changes. Submissions like this will likely always be rejected.

This mass production Liege Geios is almost the exclusive province of high ranking Big Fire pilots, and seeing one outside of Big Fire facilities is almost unthinkable. It has had it's beam launcher replaced with a more efficient (though lower power) beam bazooka, and it has had two more missile pods attached to allow it to saturate a wider area with munitions. In addition, the original laser sword has been replaced with an extraordinarily powerful mega beam zweihander, capable of actually hitting more than one unit in a single swing. The devastating Giga Blaster has been left largely alone, but the large barrel beam cannon was instead replaced with a variable-output charged particle cannon based on Guest battleship cannons.

Since Imban pointed out that the OVA MazinKaiser is coming soon, I decided to customize my Mazinger Z for fun as well. - Add one more Item Slot, just like Mazinger Z in SRW Impact.
