I have to say I had fun in the Eva promo match but suffice to say that the Eva needs tweaking. As every participant can clearly see one Herald almost took everyone around and not to mention that the Eva's can't take the damage thrown against them. So here are my thoughts on things that needs to be change for our funny looking mech that usually goes mad.
1) AT Field
Having a barrier that can stop 40 damage is a ton load of fun especially without cost but when the damage goes over 40 it breaks and you have to take all.
Solution A:
Use rank basis to modify the damage taken when the AT Field breaks.
Private: -10% to damage
Corporal: - 20% to damage
Seargent: -30% to damage
Ensign: -40% to damage
Lieutenant: -50% to damage
or
Solution B
Have the AT Field lower its negation from 40 damage to 30 damage without cost, will not break when damage exceeds and will be used the same way as a Sei Senshi/Esper uses thier respective Barriers with the use of the rank system again.
Private: negate 10 damage
Corportal: negate 15 damage
Seargent: negate 20 damage
Ensign: negate 25 damage
Lieutenant: negate 30 damage
I like the top one better don't you think?
2) Health
The minimum health of the Eva is another problem. 50 to 55 HP won't cut it especially if the barrier breaks so how about maximizing the health bar of the Eva to 100 to 110 repectively.
Eva-00 Kai: 105 HP
Eva-02: 110 HP
Eva-01: 100 HP - (Normal/Berserk): "heck! it has 25% HP regen for berserk mode already so why do we need to increase the HP?[/i] ;D
The EN for each Eva should stay as is coz the Plug "System" already regens 100 back and can be re-plug in.
3) IS
Everyone feels the Eva is too weak in its state even if we do make the changes I have suggested an addie to the IS would give the Eva a whole new feel for the better.
+1 IS to all Eva
4) Eva-01 Berserk mode "Bite"
The Berserk mode stats are wonderful except for one minor detail the cost of the "Bite attack".
As you can see with DC and Hik in the Eva promo match even though they had turned Berserk the cost of the attacks was too much and they had none left for thier dodge.
Why not lessen the cost from 5 PC to 3 PC?
Bite (SX)- 50 damage/3 PCs
or
Since the Eva-01 in Berserk mode has no more plug why not increase its EN from the now 25 to 50 and use EN as the basis of the Bite attack? It can have a zero EN and not get auto-paralyze.

And one last thing
Eva Child ability of 25 dodge cost when riding another unit. Lets just make it 20 neh~
Think of it this way. When a minmei doll is used everyone will have a dodge of the normal 20 and if an Eva Child is in the fight where the minmei doll was used his rank will change from 25 to 20 coz he lost his pilot class. I think thats a bit of a comedy to see, So my final suggestion is for the Eva Child to have a normal 20 dodge outside of an Eva unit.
