In my opinion the whole EN for bite would work since the beserk EVA-01 has 0 IS so the S2 engine dissapears once it blows up.

well, I would say that the Eva's need boosting. HOWEVER, I think Ninjutsu Scrolls and Eva's are abusive.

i agree, but i also think Eva's AT field need a slight adjustment, it wont need much to break through it, a PT, EH and all em SR pilots can knock through it no problem

In Alpha, I think the S2 Engine becomes an inherant ability once 01 goes berserk. I'll need to check later to be sure. As for the AT field durability against PTs, EHs, and SRs...That can't be helped. Everything needs a weakness. ESPers have status. Tensais have damage. And AT fields have to deal with damage modifiers. Of which there aren't alot of in the first place.

I think the reason why some people were suggesting that the HPs of the EVAs be increased to a little beyond 100 is to prevent Ninjutsu Scroll abuse. (Granted that in Alpha, they're barely tougher than the Sazabi or Nu Gundam) Increasing the HP to above 100 would increase their bunshin cost to 3.

Why not cut direct to the problem, all PC based dodge cost increases are eliminated by EN based dodging. Why not have all dodge increases such as valk pilot, zero system and cable system increase EN based dodge cost if applicable by 1 EN per 5 PC's.
For example, if a Valk pilot would increase a regular dodge cost by 10, then they would increase an EN based dodge cost by 2.
It would weaken boson jump and bunshin considerably.

..Just watch out for Evas and ninjutsu scrolls. This is also one of my worries to why we need the Eva HP to go up to 100. Just imagine the abuse of a 100% regen. @ Hik I can pump for only 5 EN with my Diablo's (V) Weapon and it would make the AT Field into swish cheese. Thats why we should but a -% modifier when the AT Field breaks. As for the 25 dodge thing for the Eva's, Eva Childs are not SR pilot so why should they have higher dodge when I thought it was agreed upon that all non SR ability will only have a maximum of 20 dodge. Furthermore Eva Child does not carry any other ability outside. So thats already proves that they are not soldiers. Err... I'am not attacking Hik or anything I'am just debating his debate...

AT Field aren't that easy to crack. EVAs can still block, though this wasn't seen much in the previous match because everyone was abusing Paralysis. You need at least 81 points of raw damage to puncture the EVA's field, and that isn't counting Armor mods that can be slapped on. 1v1, EVAs can pose a serious challenge to either SRs or RRs.

In the game, the S2 engine can only be obtained from Zeruel in Berserk mode, also the Eva-01 still retains the 2 IS in the game. The S2 serves as an upgrade for all Evas replacing the plug. It's more like an internal organ transplant.
Also lower the en cost for Eva-02's A.T. Field Crash. It doesn't need EN usage in the game.

@ Akaii
We couldn't even block and barrier with the AT Field on the Eva Promo regardless of the Paralyze attack. Did you see how you and DC dish out Positron Rifles at me I had no choice but to evade. Now imagine if the AT Field crashes but it is able to modify the damge let say -50% since I'm LT and the Eva HP is 100. You can Block and Barrier and still have about a good health in the end.
But with low HP and a barrier that breaks with less consumption of resources its just not right in my view.
Just place a mech with a (V) Weapon and you'll just countdown the Eva's demize. Remember the Eva's dodge depends on rank and even if its an LT the plug plays a major role in its evade. You can take it out but you have to put it back in or be paralyzed.
hmm... or is my modification idea on the AT Field is too much? how about...
Private: -5% Corporal: -10% Sergeant: -15% Ensign: - 20% LT: - 25%
Then the Eva's can have 100 HP and 2 IS. (I still say 100 HP I mean imagine a Ninjitsu scroll on a 100% regen that will only cost 2 EN per jump atleast with a 100 HP its 3 EN per jump thats a big change, Yes?)

Look, increasing the HP of an Eva in the way your suggesting wont help at all. Why? because your also saying that they should give it another IS, another IS is another 20 EN. Now how much of a difference does 2 - 3 EN make.

That's because Eva's have powerful weapons in the first place, plus the fact that their pilot abilities have damage modifiers.
Try to think about other units here, tiffac. Think about the fact that all X-weapons are useless against Eva's and you'll see the point why the AT Field is already strong. A free barrier is not something to be ignored.
About the AT Field attack, yes, it didn't consume EN in the game, but think of it this way: It's a (S) PARALYZE attack.
Yes, a (V) weapon is an Eva's weakness, but so is the weakness of ALL types of barriers. That comes with the package of having a barrier, tiffac.
Yes, something has to be done about the DC, but the AT Field is already ok.

I've thought about the +IS towards the +HP and your right maybe having both is too damn much. But I still say that Ninjitsu scroll on an Eva with 2 EN for a dodge is scary.
So why not give it + 1 IS or + HP instead but not both.
As for the damage modifier that too I have thought about. So my new idea is scrap the damage modifier for weapons and put in the the AT Field modifier when it breaks.
Give a defensive trait in exchange for an offensive trait.
Also like Mafty has pointed out some of the Eva weapons that should be atleast (P) and (M) but they aren't I think that needs adjusting so the Eva won't look to abusive on the offense.
Anyways I think in order for the changes to be made in an Eva, sacrifices should be made too right?
As for Mafty's debate to the (V) weapon the weakness of all barriers, that is TRUE but the AT Field is the only one that can't negate anything once the damage is above its limit. Thats what I'am trying to point out.
or you could just bring down the AT Field to 20 negate damage like the Aura Barrier and Nendou Field, Its better than breaking all the time or if you think it should be atleast up a notch try 25 or something... :/
But I still say with all logic speaking that when something hits something it should atleast be slown down even when it breaks through. So when the At Field breaks atleast the damage should be modified abit.

tiffac: That's how AT Field works in Alpha. It's the strongest barrier in the game, but when assaulted with more powerful attack, it'll completely give way.

How about let it cost 2 EN just to negate 50% damage if it goes over the limit and increase the Eva's HP and EN a little, this is for the compensation that it cannot be equipped with any kind of system.
or
Remove the system thingie out of the plug and just add 1IS and leave the HP, EN and A.T. Field as is.
How about that??
