SAMW is a wonderful thing. It's one of the things we have that brings us closer to the games, and many units work on this ability. And quite a few draw most, if not all, of their strength from the ability to have more then one pilot.
But, unlike SRW, we have a problem. Certain SAMW units allow for the main pilot ot change when it transforms, such as the Getter series. This presents a problem to users of SAMW slots. Part of a Getter's power comes from the added pilot abilities and spell sets of the pilots, but unless the user owns 3 Getter Pilot classes, a few of the unit's forms are gimped. And it's unreasonable to force a person to use up 3, unrecoverable, subclass slots on acquiring 3 Getter Pilot classes, just so they can use this series of units as it's meant to be used.
The proposal? Waiving the class-limitations on multi-form units for attacks and abilities as long as a pilot of that class is in another SAMW seat. So, for example, in a SAMW fight, a Shin Getter could use all of it's GP-only attacks in all forms, as long as a GP is in at lest one of them.
It's just not really fair to force a person to either gimp their unit by not using it in SAMW, like it's intended, or to spend a number of PCs and subclass slots that they cannot get back, just so they can use the ability like they should.

This is a very likely problem to units which transform and switch pilots. Its good that we allow people to use the other weapons and such, but there's another thing, we should think if this would cause some more changes or not.

For attacks, I agree that seems fine. Abilities I'm not so sure about, because the effects are often more drastic - like Tavish said in channel, Nendou Field plus Mazinger Pilot, for example, is quite something. (Even though it is an MT item.)
Since you mention it, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to allow periods where people can change their subcharacter classes for an appropriate fee, similar to the periods once proposed to allow moves for the new chips. A number of classes have been significantly modded since people have taken them as subclasses - for example, some people may have taken Gren because it had the highest SP, and now it doesn't. Or they didn't take another class because it didn't have enough SP. Or they had a few subclasses taken before Yuusha came out, and didn't want to mess up their plan even though they might otherwise have taken Yuusha. I don't think any of these are that farfetched.

From what I can see this would really only affect Getters and RyuKouOh/KouRyuOh. I don't really see a problem with it.

Thats just the beginning, in some cases in the future, some new mechs with the same problems will came out although overall i agree to the implementation of this as long as other ideas are balanced in a way.

If it's really too bad, the non-restricted classes could always have to pay more to use the attacks/abilities, nyooo~

This isnt bad, im just thinking of other loopholes and unbalanced stuff that might inflict to this.
Good thing is that you dont have to buy 3 or more of the same classes to be about to properly use the unit.

How about just make units like Getters and RyuKouOh/KouRyuOh that whoever fills the other SAMW slot will automatically become whatever pilto ability that is needed to use the abiliites and weapon. As for the Up Prize, just give the Main class a boost, here is what i mean:
You got a Getter Robot, all 3 slots pilots manning this in a SAMW will automatically be GP, after the fight the Up prize will not be 36/30 Up for each pilot but a 54 Up (just an example which is 50% more than normal prize) to the Getter Pilot Ability

Kyo: That should work, the only thing that needed bringing are each sub-character's seishin.

I'm not so sure. There's some times that I'd like to see the ability to change between pilot classes in a Getter. If it was as you said, maybe it'd be an option instead.

Yeah you can also have it as an Option if you people like

Bump.
And for the record, I really don't think that's a good idea. Why should your classes magically transform into another because of the unit?

Umm aint that what the problem is? I mean if you not gonna buy 3 Getter Class, the best way forit is to have some kind of special rules for these specific mechs to make the other 2 pilots to have the class thats needed to man it. Or if you like how about this. No need to buy class, no need to do as i suggested, just make it in the SAMW rule that as long as you HAVE the class that needs to use this unit's special ability, you can have it when you do a SAMW match, you have the option of having all of them be the class needed to man them. Example: You have a Getter pilot Sub class, you got into a SAMW with it, since each form has a weapon or ability that requires Getter pilot. All pilots will be GP and having the same seishin as your GP. Now you people will say that the idea sucks....but what else do you want? if you want all 3 having a diverse seishin but still be all of the same type of Pilot Class, then my original idea is the best solution to that. Or you can just slap on a Pink Haro and be done with it

Maybe you missed my suggestion?
I said that all you need is just to have a pilot of the proper class in the SAMW unit, and then all forms of that unit, regardless of what class is in it, can use restricted weapons and/or abilities. So say I have a Getter-1, I can put a GP into -1, a PD into -2, and a GF into -3, and all 3 modes can use Change Getter Attack, but still have their regular class abilities.

Pardon me for saying but i dont like that idea, your practicaly having each pilot in a SAMW iterchangeable mech gain a built in emulator. Now for units like Getter Robot it might be not much of a problem, but for powerful units like Shin getter, RyuKouOh, Shin Dragon or any of there kind, well its kinda too much
