AT Field: Negate x damage from any source for 1 EN. AT-Field only negates weapons of x damage or below and is automatically negated if used to block damage with a value of x + 1 or above. Pay 50% of the DESTROY negation price to negate PARALYZE attacks. A unit's AT-Field is automatically negated by attacks that come from units with AT-Fields.: Private: x = 20. May also pay 20 EN to negate DESTROY:L1 attacks. Corporal: x = 25. May also pay 16 EN to negate DESTROY:L1 attacks. Sergeant: x = 30. May also pay 12 EN to negate DESTROY:L1 attacks. Ensign: x = 35. May also pay 9 EN to negate DESTROY:L1 attacks. Lieutenant: x = 40. May also pay 6 EN to negate DESTROY:L1 attacks.[/i]

About the only real problem I can see is EN Regen makes the unit in question almost immune to PARA and D:L1, but like you were saying in the modbox, AT Field is not really one of the most spectacular barriers around. When you start getting into the area of EN Regen in any signifigant amount, you probably have better barriers available anyway.

1) I'm guessing that this would be used by CoE's only, giving them a sort of pilot Emulator?
2) Would this be a Mid or High-Tier item?

Yes indeed, this would be usable by CoEs only. As for the class, that's up in the air. The modbox leans towards Mid, however.

Of other classes that have resistance to PARA and DESTROY attacks in particular as inherents, this isn't anything special.
Tensai can automatically and constantly resist PARA and DESTROY up to L2. Mazinger Pilot can block PARA and DESTROY up to L2, although its a hefty price. Grendizer Pilot gets free resist which it can spend as it likes. Of these, Tensai has the most endurance, but that's pretty much one of its class abilities instead of an add on.
I don't see this as much of a problem, given that the AT Field is weak against high damage attacks anyways.
Nevermind comparisons with other classes such as Ninja Senshi and Valkyrie Pilot that have "technical" resists to these status attacks by using Stealth, Evasive Manuevers, etc. to dodge the attack.
Will this be the standard for an AT Field on Evas as well?

Yes.

Well the only real problem I see with this is on lower tiered fights, but since most of those wouldn't have a lot of EN, it wouldn't be hard to wear it down.
Oh, another thought that crossed my mind. I take it the installed AT Field be able to negate another AT Field (either installed or inherent?)

As it currently works, a mech with AT field negates AT fields in opponents. That should probably change if we're going to allow this or a simple installable can make an eva functionally defenseless.

Wes is right. The negation should be part of the barrier's ability, so then you need to actually be able to use it to negate other fields.

That's simple enough to fix. Just put "that come from units with active AT Fields"

In the anime and games, angels and evas don't automatically negate each other's A.T. Fields. In the anime they activate them. It should be pay X - EN or PC to activate negation of one unit with A.T. Field.
