Well, I don't know muhc about SEED, but it soudns like fun, so I guess I'd give it a shot. Only problem is until i get my subcharachter, I'm stuck in my Eva. There's a SC twist, then there's an EVA twist...

ok since with all the prolonging and all... here's an idea which again popped out in my mind yesterday before i sleep and then asked myself... hmmm... this is possible... XD to shorten the amount of time being displaced i would like to have a number of moderators conducting the turns of the other units beside our heroes. ;D moderators should be at least online day by day to monitor the happenings... another possibility is the reinforcement of units. I based the reinforcement idea from the Shattered Galaxy online PC game which one user is given an amount of turns until he can participate in battle along to help the others... heres a given example: The Archangel is being attacked by an overwhelming amount of ZAFT troops, with only Kira and Muu to defend the Archangel, Mariyu sends an SOS and the transmission was picked-up by Battle 7's communications link... Max agrees to help the Archangel though the Battle 7 is currently in the sector near the Jupiter colonies, luckily the Fold Jump is accessable thus as the battle engages. On turn 2(or the turn after Fold jump successfully done and appears in the near sector) or three if they were delayed, can appear in battle to help out... another thing is that motherships carry mechs so the user is given a choice whether to deploy a certain number of mech units to help out or use the mothership unit instead to help out or use the mothership as well as deploying mechs in combat. And of course rules should apply in deploying(you cant deploy all 99 zaku's and your mothership if you're just fighting just 12 GINN units, its like they've been overrunned! *imagines a whole army of huckebein's* XD) And yes to those asking if other series are involved... yes they are, based on the storyline of your character/characters in the SCW, i just happened to basically picked SEED as the start point since most people here knows Gundam SEED and it's easy to modify the later episodes... Comments and sugestions further needed as well as help... pls post ahead

BerlapSack has a point.
Also, having each player deploy a certain number of units (exceeiding two, etc) while there are other players will give mods a headache. This is what the proposed Big Fire event would cause.

Lyonesse... there's a guideline to follow remember so that would give the mods the ideas to whats happening plus time amount on an episode would just be something like 24 hours or(whatever time it suits to go faster) and since most battle dont last long that would likely happen.
Think positive... anyway other suggestions and ideas you could share...?
btw im going to start this one as soon as possible as a test run so you guys can see whether you like it or not.

the Idea is good its a nice way to show that SC is really the Online Super Robot Wars that I thought it would be when I 1st join in... well I really hope this campaign will pull through but a lot of planning must be made for it to sail a smooth uninterrupted sail *Rai waits for the Decision of other characters/members

It sounds like a good idea, but I think you may be getting too complex. I suppose te problem is that you need to get complex for something this major.
Might I suggest you split it into parts? Say do the first dozen or so episodes, keeping it simple. Then when you do the next part you can look at what needs changing and introduce new rules. This way you can slowly add more options and rules in a learning curve, plus you won't get any more complex that you have to.
That's my idea anyway.

I think you guys are missing a very basic point here.
Who ends up writing out all these events? I'm pretty sure the mods won't do it.

Since it was me who mentioned it in the first place then i would sacrifice myself in writing the events and such, though i could need some help such as series info and if you guys like this one, why not have the dialogues as well. ;D
Eviscerator> yes it will be seperated into parts since we can't accomodate people fighting in various areas in one battle thread. I think its best we use the places in the SCW as reference and as guide so the places put up there arent just of no use. anyway thanks for your idea that would come handy just in case we encounter something like a loophole or something more ;D
BTW Kira, and to anyone who has mariyu and muu, i need to talk with you guys so we can show them how this works. ;D
anyways other suggestions and ideas pls post ahead...

The plan in the first place... first we need to confirm the location of you and your characters given that you can participate in that event since either your characters are there or they are near that sector. Another example: User - Signal(indicates the player) Group - MIRA (indicates his/her groups/teams/fleets under his/her command) Location - Firebombers HQ(indicates your current location) Mothership/Transfortation - Battle 7(indicates your ships or other means of traveling throughout the SC world) Transfortation Used - Fold Jump to the area near heliopolis ;D Next Location - Space Sector Near Heliopolis(indicates the place you're going next) Specials - Fold Jump(indicates if your ship or transfortation has other means of traveling if either shortening the travel time)(fold jump should be accessable on all battle class warships from battle 1 to battle 13 which also includes SDF-1) Travel Time - 2 turns(indicates your travel time from your location to the destination) these are just prototype examples as they can still be simplified. post suggestions, ideas, thoughts you like to share... and as to help...

how bout people who dont own a mothership?
and kira is the only SEED charater? who will portray the other Characters NPCs?
I guess more planning is required... if this is to be a GGeneration like event then those who dont own battle ships must be assigned to those who have...but it we must have slot limits to avoid sending just 1 battleship and to avoid over crowding too ;D...
