Background:As leader of the Shisutoraiki Team, Blaine Kodos's duty is to keep his teammates both in line and in good taste. An independently funded organization, the Shisutoraiki (Deathstrike) Team's function is that of bounty hunters: Hunting and subduing bounties for personal profit. Occasionally, they partner with the proper authorities or other groups to accomplish jobs. Blaine himself actively serves for a few other groups to ensure consistent cash flow to maintain the team's vast mecha hangar. Blaine's personal style reflects his attitude: Laid back and relaxed. He encourages his team to wear casual dress constantly, due to a deep hatred of uniforms or any type of conformity. He and his team specialize in the Getter Robo, robots consisting of three component fighters which combine into different forms. Due to the way these machines do battle, three consecutive pilots are required. As such, the team is divided into two seperate piloting groups based on battle specialties and compatability. Directly to the right of the elevator, the plot for Blaine's beloved first mecha was seeing much more attention than normal. Blaine's primary group of Vahn, Spike, Bernard, and Irumgalt occompanied him.Vahn: So what's the commotion? I thought you swore you'd never get rid of this thing. It was your baby! Blaine: Indeed. The Divine Dragon was my most prized mecha, as I created it from scratch myself. Spike: So why replace it? Blaine: You misunderstand. This machine you see before you is still the very same that I constructed myself. However, given my increased technological knowledge and financiual backing, I was able to completely overhaul it. At it's heart, it is the same as it ever was. But the frame is much stronger, as is the main cannon. Bernard: I see you have some technicians overlooking the cannon. May I ask why? Blaine: Certainly. During the reactor testing for the Divine Dragon Cannon, an estimation of its power showed that even the reinforced frame cannot hold up under the stress of the cannon. We need to get some battle data on it to see what we can strengthen without harming the overall performance. Irum: It is rather impressive. I bet someone like the Divine Crusaders would love to get their hands on you, my friend. Blaine: My dear Mr. Kazahara. That's why I'm independant. I don't need some power-hungry politicians looming over my worktable and making me design next generation suits. My place is on the field.
