Well, it does what it's susposed to do. It negates psychowave weapons and abilities.
And, uh, what? Since when have we had an installable Anti-Funnel System?
I also don't see how Psychoframe fits into this, either.

Seed of Knowledge!
The Anti-Funnel System, was developed for use by Gundam REON itself after its repairs from its almost fatal destruction when FAMAS forces attacked the Space Patrol HQ. It is used to counter the replica Nu Gundam (which seems to be a Double Fin Funnel variant), piloted by Ledith Leonovsky, an ace EH pilot of the FAMAS terrorist organization. The system disrupts psychowaves and renders NT weapons useless, thus giving REON a huge advantage over the fearsome mobile suit.
It is definitely not installable because it is an inherent ability specific to the REON series, and doesn't really do much other than sideboard against NT units. The AFS, is the red "wings" on the back of REON. In the case of the SC, it is the REON Kai for the sake of differentiating between the REON before and after its repairs.

It exists on one unit, seriously. If you don't want to fight against it, don't accept a match against a REON Kai.
Heck, does anyone even own a REON Kai?

Eis does.

It's too bad no one asked Eis a question about a different continuity. I wanted to say "That's not a seed of knowledge, it's knowledge about SEED!"

He may have been referring to how it's in the Gundam dressup. I'd treat this about the same as earlier criticism of Anti-MD Virus - if it were such a huge threat, wouldn't we be seeing it a bit more often?

Can I install it if I buy a REON and some duct tape?

well...the wording makes it too strong due to some ambigiuties...

Like what? From what I can see, the wording is very clear. What part do you find otherwise?

Ambiguities? What ambiguities?
All I see is this:
Anti-Funnel System
Class: System, Activated
Description: Negate all (PX), (PSX), (BPX), and (BPSX) NT/EH attacks, all Hi-Level Funnel type weapons and Nu Gundam I-Field of target unit for the rest of the battle as long as this unit isn't destroyed or defeated. 10 EN to activate.
There's nothing ambiguous about that. I haven't checked the dressup yet, but the lexicon versions of an ability are the most up-to-date and thus take precedence over any other version of an ability. All it does is disable funnel-type weapons and Nu Gundam I-Field. Nothing more, nothing less.
And besides, nobody who's got any brains will willingly fight a REON or a REON Gundam dressup with a unit that relies on such things.

It's not too strong and it's not unbalanced. It works exactly the way it's supposed to work and I've stated it as clear as I could. If it doesn't, then how can it even call itself an Anti-Funnel System? Note that the description in the ability does not cover weapons like MEPE Attack, and only covers all funnel-like weapons in the hangar.
If you count the over 1000 units in the Hangar, less than a tenth of them consist of units with Newtype weapons. Considering the varieties, that's not alot. And unless the unit only has NT weapons, it shouldn't even be too much of a handicap because most units have other weapons to use. Chances are, you won't be fighting a REON Gundam, or an NT unit if you're in one.
It's as Tilus said, and it goes for anything else in the Hangar. If you don't want to fight something, then don't. You have the right to choose.
