Well, I don't have a problem with them personally, heck I have a lot of greets for people too, but when it gets to the point of one person joining and 5-10 people autogreeting him or her, it gets pretty darn hectic.
Solution? Well, I've heard a couple.
First off, and this is the easy, tyrant way, is to have people turn of autogreets altogether.
A second way was to make a bit, like Neko or someone, and people can submit their greets to the bot. When that person joins, the bot displays one of the greets randomly.
Any other ideas would be welcome.

Ban them. They were ok when just 2-3 people used them, but now half my screen gets spammed with the things when certain people join.

I like the second idea personally, assuming Daichi (if we use Neko) or whoever (if we make another bot) doesn't mind adding the greets in.

I also like the second one.

Daichi did suggest this like forever ago so I don't think he'd mind doing it.

Yes, I did suggest writing a WB script for Neko a while back to the ops. Few of them loved the Idea, couple others thought it was a waste of effort. It certainly would cut down on channel spam and channel lag whenever people join the channel.
<Neko> *WB(Whoever)WB* - Insert Random Message Here~! (Daichi)
Next week I should have time to write this script and fix a few of the relay bugs.
