How about just taking the Flash System off the installable items category, tweak the G-Bits for them to be stronger (IIRC, in the shows, their specs are at par with their respective Gundams) and replace the Flash System with installable Biosensor and Psycoframe? More faithful to SRW this way. I'm for this, except we might want to consider 1) making the G-Bits non-resummonable and 2) whether or not we really want to trash the Flash System.

Well, the GX Gundams are already pretty strong with their inherent Flash Systems. << I'd rather not see them become HT or something.

Which I imagine would be part of why one would remove the resummonability. Really, if you couldn't just drag GW-Bits back into the fight every time they get busted up, they'd be much harder to use effectively...

I have to question the resummonability of a lot of summons. For instance, Sandrock's summons make it better than pretty much any other first-level GW Gundam.

Mmm, I personally think Heavyarms would disagree. However, that's something aside from the Flash System.
An installable, renewable summon is pretty devastating, class restriction or no.

Dude, if you make Bits one time use, the MD system will be BETTER than it. That's kind of a scarry thought, isn't it?

Depends. You seem to forget that a part of the one-time use proposal was a general upgrade of a G-Bit's stats. In GX, a G-Bit really is about equal to it's appropriate Gundam, and G Gen F also shows this.

or we can just put a set amount of times you can resummon them base of rank or something similar
NT/EH Private: resummonable once Corporal: Resummonable Twice ...
and so on..

I think there was also another proposal in the past that involved adding PC costs to subsequent summons of the G-Bits, but I forgot what happened to that.

We already have their number summoned based on rank. yes, but not how many times you can resummon them after they're destroyed

Having designed games occasionally, playing double jeopardy with your modifiers is generally a bad idea. Although fights other than Lieutenant versus Lieutenant don't come across as often, essentially having 25 G-Bits versus 16 G-Bits over the course of a fight, (basically squaring the rank modifier) is a significant difference.

How about we have some sort of modifier based on the rank of the unit, as opposed to the rank of the player?
