Some time ago, during the Lizard War...
The Jovian Lizards have deployed their latest weapon, a black hole cannon, to this area. Dubbed "Walking Stick," this weapon crippled your mothership with its first shot 6 hours ago. The consequences of another shot would be disastrous for both your ship and the region; the Walking Stick must be destroyed before it fully recharges. Our only option is an Aestivalis assault.
Rules:
Each of the 5 participants will be using an Aestivalis: Land, Aerial, or Artillery frame.
Frame Switch is disabled. Players are out of Gravity Wave Beam range; instead of default EN degen, Land Frame will degenerate 1 EN/turn, and Aerial Frame will degenerate 3 EN/turn. An Aestivalis with 0 EN is paralyzed, but may use the Resupply seishin or a Propellant Tank. An Aestivalis which has 0 EN at the end of two turns in a row falls behind the offensive (for gameplay purposes, this counts as being destroyed).
Destroyed Aestivalises also fall behind, so Resurrect will not be allowed.
Because of the need to keep low during the approach, Aerial Frame loses its DC -5.
Low-tier items only, and no Large Generators.
Event schedule:
Turn 1: Aestivalis team reaches enemy lines. Contact is expected with numerous Jovian autonomous types from here on out.
Turn 4: Begin to leave some enemies behind. Enemies fall behind the offensive, out of range, after their 4th defense phase.
Turn 10: Walking Stick comes into range.
Turn 12: Last turn to destroy Walking Stick.
If Walking Stick is not destroyed by the end of Turn 12, it fires, and the mission has failed.
Our sensors have determined that the Walking Stick has 4000 HP (no defenses or anything, you just have to do 4000 damage). There may be rewards for destroying the smaller Jovian units in significant numbers, but above all conserve resources for your primary mission!
Interested parties please post here! If more than 5 people post, in about a day I'll select randomly from those posted, with some preference for those who have posted in the Nadesico Team thread (we're old but still twitching!).
