Name: Mac Maguire Rank: 1st Lieutenant/Chû’i<br>Age:23 Status: On Active duty. Background: Born on Earth in Scotland in UC 0056, Mac Maguire came from a long line of proud military officers. Despite this he and his father did not get along and he wanted to become an artist, settle down and get married. However when his fionce was killed by the first colony drop the urge for revenge led to him enlisting in the army. At first consumed by his rage and revenge Mac found it hard to settle into the the role as an officer, however he eventually managed to channel his rage toward doing well which led to a rapid promotion and him being put forward for MS training. Having started training in UC 0079 and having alredy proved himself as an excellent soldier, he soon got to enjoy riding in an MS which he nicknamed his "Tin can". He soon saw front line action when he was involed in Operation Hellion on the 22nd of May where he saw most of his friends killed and his squad bar him being totaly wiped out. This not only added to his chip on his shoulder from his fionce's death but led to him turing to drink to relax. Following his almost miraculous survival, (which was seen by some due to him being a traitor, which led to the failure of the operation, although this was never prved), he was reasigned to Earth to under go pschological profiling to ensure he was still fit for duty. Although pronouced fit for duty it was noted that he'd picked up a drinking problem after the events in Operation Hellion, nothing was done about this though he was warned not to let it interfere with his performance. This had been acused of being his mainly due to his father's influence although if this is the case there has been no evidence of this. After the inquest he was reasigned to the 10th MS team where he has been keen to get out a wreck havoc amonst the Zeon forces, and is increasingly frustrated by the EFs lack of succes. Strong willed yet not very talkative, Mac often finds it hard to socialise with others and will often avoid a conversation if at all possible, yet with his friends he will always be there to support them if he is needed. Moreover when not in the pilot seat or asleep he can often be found in the darkest corner of the bar drinking a bottle of Whiskey. He also will not bargin with the enemy and takes no prisoners, in his mind he has no room that perhaps the enemy are also human. In combat Mac tends to be a bit Gung Ho and will charge in with little thought for personal saftey, although this may not be the must skillful method of fighting he still manges to hit most of the time while avoiding enemy fire.
