If you feel your class hasn't been performing up to par lately, you've come to the right place. The BEL offers the SC community a chance to improve their skills---for a price, of course.
Acquiring Skills:
Pilot skills are acquired much in the same way as Seishins are. You pay UPs to purchase skills. Of course, you have to keep the following things in mind:
1) How many skill slots you have remaning
2) If the skill is compatible or incompatible with your class.
Skill Slots: Like in Super Robot Wars, you can't purchase all the skills you want. You can only purchase a maximum of three or four (3 or 4) skills, depending on your pilot ability. However, you can level up an existing ability to its maximum regardless of the amount of slots you have. For example, your class has 4 slots, and you already have the following skills:
-Gunfight
-Guts
-Improved Countercut
You can still purchase an additional ability, say, Infight, and level it up as much as you can afford. However, you cannot purchase Infight as well as another skill, such as attacker. That's simple enough.
If a skill can be leveled up, take note that you cannot have both the Lv1 and Lv2 skill at the same time, or even all three levels at the same time. The higher-level skill automatically overwrites the lower one. Thus, the bonus of the lower-level skill is lost and replaced by that of the higher-level skill. These bonuses are not cumulative---with the exception of SP Boost. SP Boost is the only skill that gives a cumulative bonus.
Another thing regarding multilevel skills: You have to purchase the Lv1 skill in order to purchase the Lv2 skill, and so on. You cannot jump immediately to the highest-level skill.
Here is the table of skill slots each class will be getting:
3 Skill Slots:
Coordinator
Newtype
Grendizer Pilot
Getter Pilot
Mazinger Pilot
Yuusha
Martian Successor
Gundam Fighter
Valkyrie Pilot
4 Skill Slots:
Enhanced Human
Personal Trooper Pilot
Heavy Metal
Psychodriver
Tensai
Ninja Senshi
Child of Eva
Masoukishin Herald
Sei Senshi
Here is a list of skills that are not compatible with certain pilot classes:
Potential: Dynamic classes (Getter/Mazinger/Grendizer)
Improved CC: Heavy Metal, Gundam Fighter, Ninja Senshi, Coordinator
Improved Shield: Heavy Metal
Infight: Gundam Fighter
Guts: Valkyrie Pilot, Coordinator
Attacker: Personal Trooper
E-Save: Tensai
Also, keep in mind that you can overwrite existing skills just like you can overwrite existing seishin. You simply spend the appropriate cost for the skill you want to acquire and delete the old skill. If both skills in question are multileveled, your new skill DOES NOT start at the level you left the skill you're overwriting. If you had Lv. 3 Gunfight and wanted to replace it with Infight, you'll have to start with Lv. 1.
With that said, let's get to the good part.
