This particular unit specializes in melee attacks, having only two projectile abilities, and also implements its Distortion Field in some attacking and defensive maneuvers.. However, its melee attacks are so powerful that the enemy must use twice the effort to be able to counter them. It is also extremely fast, and most pilots would find their evasion abilities increased in this mech.
One thing that is interesting about the Yatenkou is its Boson Jump System. This means that, as long as the Martian Successors have an A-Class Jumper under their control, any of their units with this system may boson jump, even if said Jumper is not the pilot. This ability is deadly when used properly.
Hokushin made good use of this unit to hunt and chase the jumper known as Akito Tenkawa, but it can be just as deadly in any situation.
