We all love the company of our sub-characters---whether they be our lovers, best friends, rivals, mentors, minions, or simply "other" people we enjoy RPing.
However, when everyone just has the same ability as you, doesn't RPing get boring sometimes?
Soo....that's why we're implementing SUB-CHARACTER CLASSES! Yes, folks, you can now give your subcharacters their very own classes AND seishin sets!
In this thread, we'll discuss the following:
-What sub-character classes are all about -What the limitations are -How much they cost -Subcharacter seishins -FAQ

..So, you say we can now give our sub-characters their own classes. Why should I want that?
Well, there are two main reasons: One, to give variety to your RPing, and two, to allow you to participate in Super AM Wars, which I will tackle in a separate thread.
With your sub-characters having their own classes, you can get to experience what it's like playing with another set of pilot abilities, as well as create a more well-rounded team in SAMW.
Sounds cool, but there has got to be a catch.
Of course there is. Or rather, there are. The following are the limitations of the sub-character classes:
1) You may purchase up to FIVE additional classes. This means that aside from your original class, you can pick up pick up to five pilot classes which can be distributed and interchanged amongst your subcharacters as you see fit. This limit is established to prevent the obvious abuse of allowing someone to purchasing one of each class, and thus essentially having the entire B.E.L. Subclasses are purchased at 120% of the original cost.
2) Each class works as a 'costume'. To state again, these classes can be used in as many battles at one time as you want, with whatever subcharacter you deem fit to use it with.
3) So what are the limitations? They are as follows:
A: YOU CANNOT SELL YOUR SUBCLASSES BACK TO THE B.E.L. No refunds.
B: You CANNOT use more classes in the SAME match then you own (for example, you can't deploy with 3 Newtypes unless you own 3 Newtype subclasses), unless otherwise stated.
Further questions will be covered in the FAQ to come later.#nosmileys

Sub-character Seishins
Your characters also get their own set of Seishins and SP pool. Naturally, the amount of SPs they get is based on their class. You also get to choose a free seishin for each of the characters that have a class, provided it costs 400 UPs or below. You cannot give a character his or her own seishin set if he or she does not have a sub-character class. These characters now gain UPs INDEPENDENTLY, just like your sidekicks do. Create a separate section in your UP record sheet in your AM for each character.
FAQ(More entries will be added in as people ask questions)
Can I use these subcharacters outside of Super AM Wars? Yes.
What classes can I choose from? Any, any at all. Of course, you have to have the PCs to purchase them.
Can I get a refund for purchasing a class I thought was good at that time? Absolutely not. If you want to replace it, you must pay the 120% cost to buy a whole new subclass and overwrite it, just like buying a new Main class.
How do I determine my subcharacter's rank? Your subcharacter has the same rank as you. The system is complicated enough as it is, and it's hard enough to earn UPs.
If I have already purchased five subclasses and I want to change one, can I pay another 120% worth for it to be overwritten? Sure can.
Can I sell back one of my subcharacter classes? Not one to read? Look up to the prior post.
That's pretty much it for now. Please check the Super AM Wars thread as well, these two new additions to the SimChamber are closely related to each other.
