Monthly Allowance and Mod Stipend

As you can now see, the monthly allowance and stipend is already in full implementation in the SC. The system is new but I doubt that there would be any significant modifications in the near future.

Monthly Allowance for Active Members:

All active members are entitled to receive 400 PCs every month. ACTIVE members are determined by the roster that the faction head submits to the administrator at the start of every month. Members who have been missing in action for almost a month without any note left on the Leave of Absence Thread will be considered by the respective faction heads as inactive members and will thus not receive any allowance for that month. (There's no point in allowing their coffers swell while they're someplace else without any logical explanation, right?)

Therefore, before any member adds his or her 400 PCs for that month into his or her PCD account, that member must first verify whether he or she is entitled to the allowance for that month. The administrator will be posting the list of ACTIVE members in a thread in the Bridge at the start of each month.

In the event that the PCD moderator or any of the administrators see that a member has placed 400 PCs in his or her PCD account without his or her name appearing in the official list, that member will have to submit an explanation to the PCD mod or any of the administrators immediately else risk his or her disqualification from the monthly allowance. So please, look your name up first before you do anything to your PCD regarding the allowance.

For those members who do not belong to a faction, please notify any of the administrators at the start of every month that you're still alive and kicking and we'll inform you if you've been validated.

Monthly Stipend for Moderators, Global Moderators and Administrators:

Each rank gets a specific number of PCs every month:

Moderator: 2000 PCs

Global Moderator: 2500 PCs

Administrator: 3000 PCs

Only half of this money will be added to the officer's actual PCD account meaning the money you actually spend on yourself. In short, you only get half of the monthly stipend for personal use. The other half goes straight to a new section in your PCD account which is called the Stipend Account. The Stipend Account is for rewards granted to deserving members in the SC who have helped out any of the moderators in any task they needed to do.

When a moderator decides to reward a member, he or she deducts that amount from the Stipend Account and notes it under Expenses in their PCD account. I leave it to the generosity of the moderators to use their personal money if they see that the monthly Stipend Account is not enough for giving away rewards.

At the start of every month, the moderator once again adds half of the money received to his or her personal PCs. The Stipend Account on the other hand is not cumulative. It is merely reset to its original value (ex. for Admins, the original value is 1500 PCs). Nevertheless, I do not wish to see any of the moderators to accumulate wealth then start splurging. Please use this money to help finance your respective factions and teams.

Added Note:

Since the moderators get a lot of money every month, they're no longer allowed to participate in any of the Trivia-type PC promos (ex. Trivia PC Contests) unless specifically stated by any of the High-Order. They can only participate in fight promos where they really have to work for the money they'll win.

More clarifications:

There's a new system implemented for the allowance which started this May 2004. Every month, the admin will post a new thread regarding the allowance for that month. All faction heads are required to turn in their active members list within the first week of that month. If the faction head cannot do it for absence or any other reason, then another member must be able to do so before the end of the first week. Only when that post gets a validation notice can the members written in that list add their 400 PC allowance.

As for the stragglers or the members who do not belong to any faction, they must PM the admin within the first week to notify the administration that they are still alive and kicking. Only when their names are posted in the said thread can they add their 400 PCs.

PCD Mods will be basing their checks on allowances on the thread for that month. If they see that you have added 400 PCs and yet your name is not in the thread before it was locked, then they have enough reason to carry out any sanctions necessary.

Please remember that validation would be based on your activity from the previous month.

Also, for the mods, no matter how many boards your act as moderator, you still get one stipend. That means even if you're mod for SC1 and SCW, that does not mean you get stipend for each of those jobs. You only get 1000 for yourself and 1000 for the stipend account. I think this is already clear but I am just stating this in case there are still some mods who do not know about it.

Administrators have the liberty to remove mods if they see that the assigned mods are no longer doing their jobs properly. Most of the mod job bulk can be seen in the Hangar, the SCW and the four simulation chambers (SC1, SC2, PA, VS).
