Here's the new ranking system. No longer can the members buy their way into lieutenant level. At the same time, this would be a good chance for them to hone their skills in fighting as well getting the opportunity to evolve some of the mechs they own.
The new ranking system is as follows:
To move up from Private to Corporal
finish one PA and one SC match
Rationale: PA matches still give you battle experience so we considered placing them there.
To move up from Corporal to Sergeant
finish two PA matches and three SC matches
To move up from Sergeant to Ensign
finish four SC matches
To move up from Ensign to Lieutenant[/color]
finish four SC matches also
Note: Once you move up one rank, your counters are reset. Meaning if you've reached Ensign, you have to fight four matches again to get to Lieutenant.
Here's an example:
Newbie X
PA match counter: 1
SC match counter: 1
PA matches needed: 1/1
SC matches needed: 1/1
X gets to participate in one SC and one PA match. X is promoted to Corporal. His match counter for PA remains 1 and his match counter for SC remains one but his requirements are changed.
PA matches needed: 0/2
SC matches needed: 0/3
Note that you can count all your matches since you have your war log with you in your AM account (that post where you account for all the wins and the losses that you got in fighting in the PA and SC) but the requirements are always reset everytime you rank up. This means that your previous matches are non-cumulative. For X's case, he cannot use his previous 1 PA match and 1 SC match for ranking up to Sergeant from Corporal. He has to participate in 2 new PA matches and 3 new SC matches in order for him to qualify for promotion. This goes for all levels of ranking up.
Also note that SC battles may be used in place of PA battles for ranking up. Of course, you can't try to claim the same battle for both SC and PA requirements.
So now that this is in implementation, start racking up your PA and SC matches!!!
