Time is a precious commodity, and in the SimChamber things are no exception here. Taking too long in a SC Battle can be very costly; for you, and in the event you have a partner or partners, for your team. Here we will cover:

What Prone Status is
Prone status means that you have gone past your allocated time for your turn; as Alfimy terms it "Turn Timed out". Since fights in the old SC have progressed slowly, a more aggresive approach is now being taken to speed up fights.
How you get into Prone Status By waiting too long in a fight to take your turn.

Why you should stay OUT of Prone status
Being Prone is not a good thing. When you take too long to post a battle reply, you cause the current fight to lag. When current fights don't end, new fights can't be started. Being inactive in a fight without a proper reason (forgetting or losing interest in it) is an act of disrespect to the SC Mods who took the time to process your fight request, as well as other fighters who have mechs and items locked into the fight, who want it to flow smoothly and quickly.

Turn Limits and Penalties for Prone Status
Time limits to post a reply in a fight varies by the type of battle you are engaged in: (It has been changed now, to speed up the flow of fights!)
1 v 1: 24 tp 48 hours 2 v 2 to 3 v 3: 48 to 72 hours 4 v 4+: 72 hours
Getting proned is bad. VERY BAD. Here's what happens:
-You forfeit ALL REGENERATION abilities for that turn. Nothing, not Zuphiroude Crystals, Machine Cells, DG Cells, Organic Bits, HPHGCPs, Solar Panels, or Timestream Engines or a shirtless Captain Kirk can stop the power of The Prone. Your regeneration will continue as normal when your normal turns resume, of course.
-All turn timers are paused for the proned turn. For example, you had one turn left for your Pressure gauge, but you proned. When you come back, you have to continue charging as if you didn't take the last turn at all. This penalty includes all diminishing-cost abilities (Zero System, Pile Formation, etc) as well. Again, it's as if that turn never happened at all.
-On the turn you resume, you have to accept ALL of the attacks that would have hit you on your proned turn. You may still dodge, countercut, barrier, shield and whatnot. Yes, the attacks will hang in the air and wait patiently for you to return. How nice of them. In fact, they will even retain the temporary properties bestowed upon them by temporary effects such as Seishins, Snipe, etc. Basically, if you prone and any number of attacks thrown at you for that turn are modified by an effect that wears off AFTER you prone, those effects will still be considered "on" when you accept the damage on the turn you resume. For example, your opponent shoots you with an EXAM System-modified attack, and then you prone. When you resume and accept that attack, it's still, for all intents and purposes, considered EXAM-modified. -Upon your second prone, you are automatically dropped from the fight. You forfeit all PC and UP rewards, as well as any other special rewards that you may have received, even if your team wins. Evolution points are forfeited as well. The only thing you will have to remember the fight by is the deduction from your PCD (if applicable.) Any PC expenses that you may have made in the fight are still deducted from your PCD.
Note that even if the match hasn't even started yet, there may be penalities for taking too long. For each person in the battle, there is a 24 hour limit for all participants to deploy in, else risking getting a prone against them. For example, in a normal 1v1, there is a limit of 48 hours for both participants to deploy. If one participant does not deploy within that time, they suffer a prone. The prone does not give any penalities right away, but does count as a prone in case you should go over the time limit again while the match is on, kicking you out and denying you your rewards.
That's about it. Keep in mind that time limits and penalties MAY be changed as per fight stipulations, but this may either enhance or hamper the effectivity of The Prone, and of course must be agreed upon by all parties involved in the fight.

How to stay out of prone status and precautions to take If you're in an active fight, check to see if its your turn regularly. At least post once a day so that the fight does not become stagnant. Also, MAKE SURE that you are active if you want to participate in your fight.
But what if I'm away for a long time? Then simply post in the Leave of Absence thread; the fight will be frozen/suspended until you return.
