Value your friends, because in battle they just might save your neck. Support Defense is the true embodiment of this belief, and in SC Battles, support from your allies can, and WILL save you from certain destruction. In this section, we will cover:
What Support Defense is and who can use it. When Support Defense is to take place Restrictions on Support Defense

When Support Defense is to be Performed
If you are performing support defense for an ally, it executed right after your defense phase. Keep in mind that your own defense phase takes priority, so you must resolve all incoming attacks directed at you beforehand; it's great to help out an ally, but you have to worry about your own neck first.

Restrictions on Support Defense
Support Defense is a useful in battle, but there even here there are certain limits which you must keep in mind.
Summon Units Summon Units cannot support defend, unless otherwise stated. While you can defend them, they cannot do the same for you. The reasoning behind this? Support Defense enabled in summon units equals infinite shields, especially when most summon units have no costs tied with their appearance.
Actions Since you're jumping in front of an ally at the last moment to save them, you cannot dodge while using support defense. This rule extends to evasive abilities, such as Bunshin, Neo Getter Vision, Open Get, and Stealth. You are able to block, countercut, use barriers, and use Psychic Overload. Also keep in mind the order of the attacks received; if a Paralyze attack is the first in a series of attacks directed at an ally and you're hit by that, you're paralyzed and unable to do anything but sit and receive damage from any successive attacks.
Multiple Support Defense Is not allowed. You may only support defend ONE ally in any given turn, no matter how fast your unit may be. Choose and plan carefully if you're under heavy assault.
