Battleship. Not only does this classify an innovative game made ages ago, but it also refers to the giant structure from which your mecha will deploy in a large-scale battle. Here the basics of the battleship/mothership will be covered, such as:

What battleships are
Battleships, motherships, or however you wish to term them are giant ships that can accomodate units in them, restoring HP, EN, and ammo that is spent or lost in the heat of battle.
How do I recognize them. Simple, in the hangar a unit will have Mothership Class listed under its inherent abilities.
Who can pilot them? Anyone, as long as they meet the rank requirements. They are gigantic space ships that can accomodate units in them, restoring their HP. EN and ammo that are spent or lost during a fight.

Distinctive Features On Motherships Aside from being large, motherships have the following added capabilities: 1) Motherships can repair and refuel mechs during battle, as well as replenish ammo if the said mech enters it during battle. How long it takes to do this will be covered later. 2) Motherships have 2 "Sidebar" IS in addition to their normal IS, which can be only used to install Perishables. These Perishables, and any other installed Perishables, may be used on an allied unit as well as on themselves. 3) All Motherships can use the Countershoot ability regardless of pilot class, as long as the Mothership has a weapon capable of Countershooting. 4) Units docked in a Mothership, in addition to the recovery capabilities, can also choose to discard their currently equipped pack, frame, or whatever and change to another pack/frame. HP/EN is carried over from the old frame to the new one. Although they lack mobility, motherships are very tough and powerful; with large amounts of HP, EN, and powerful weapons.

Entering and Re-sortie from a Battleship
You may enter a battleship to replenish your mech supplies after your defense phase has been resolved. For every turn you remain in the mothership, you'll gain a regeneration phase (which you should know the definition of by now); when you wish to sortie, do so by saying such whe your next turn comes around. When you sortie, it will be equal to your deployment; meaning you'll have no phases in the turn EXCEPT for the sortie. Also keep in mind that if the battleship goes down while you're in it, you bite the dust too. Pray that you aren't in one if it happens to be nailed with a KICK attack, for then your efforts are truly in vain.

Replenishing and Resupplying Your Mech
For each turn you're docked in a Mothership, you regain 25% of your HP and EN. Also, your ammo and shields are fully recovered the turn after docking.

Limitations on battleships
The biggest disadvantage to a mothership is its size, which is reflected in its cost for dodging. All motherships have their dodge costs locked at a large dodge cost specified by the Mothership (X) ability by default. It doesn't matter if you're a Newtype, Enhanced Human, Sei Senshi, or any other class. This carries over to items as well; no matter what dodge-modifying item you may equip, the cost is still specified number. Sorry Haro.
