Pilot Abilities. You've undoubtedly glanced over many before making the choice on which to select for your venture into our Simulation Chamber. But perhaps questions still linger in the back of your mind; "So I'm a Gundam Fighter. But what can I really do?" or "Where did all of this originiate?"
This section is here to answer those questions; this is strictly a bonus section, which will give all Simchamber participants, new and old slightly more detailed information on the wide range of classes throughout the Chamber, as well as other interesting tidbits; so keep an eye out for this topic, whenever you have that bit of extra time to read something different.

Newtypes
The Newtype. Almost anyone who's a Gundam fan knows what a Newtype is. Typically thrust into the main character role of any Universal Century Gundam series, Newtypes are portrayed as highly skilled individuals, whose heightened awareness and borderline precognitive abilities seem to make them natural ace pilots.
The term "Newtype" was first coined by Zeon Daikun, who believed that the "Newtype" would be the next step in human evolution; as human beings moved out into space, their other senses would develop, eventually allowing for a greater understanding and bonding between people. How ironic it is to note that the late Daikun's children, Cassaval and Artesia (better known as Char Aznable and Sayla Mass, respectively)
Sadly, despite Zeon Daikun's idealistic view of the Newtype, their abilities often make them nothing more than tools of war, to be used and discarded as seen fit. This fact serves to add further tragedy to the already troubled lives most Newtypes in the Gundam series endure. .

Series Appeared in: Mobile Suit Gundam Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Mobile Suit Gundam Double Zeta Gundam: Char's Counterattack Gundam F-91 Victory Gundam After War Gundam X Countless Gundam Side Stories
SRW Appearances Excluding Original Generation, there's been a Newtype in every SRW game.
Notable Newtypes: Amuro Rei Char Aznable / Quattro Bajina Camille Vidan Judau Ashita Usso Ebbing
Haman Kahn Paptimus Scirocco Lalah Sun
Newtypes in SRW In the SRW games, the "Newtype" ability gave pilots an increased dodge and aim rate, in addition to enabling specific Newtype attacks; such as the funnels of the Sazabi, the Waverider attack of the Zeta Gundam, and a few others. As you can see, much of this has been reflected in the Simulation Chamber mechanics. #nosmileys

Enhanced Human
Enhanced Humans are in essence, artifically created Newtypes. The process through which an Enhanced Human is created is never quite disclosed in full detail, but the end result creates an individual with the same strengths as a Newtype: A highly skilled pilot with optimal reflexes and the ability to interface with Newtype Specific systems such as the Psycommu System, Bio Sensor, and Psycoframe.
Enhanced Humans have the same abilities as Newtypes; they are able to sense the presence of other Newtypes (or Enhanced Humans) and from the hints given in the series, they essentially "feel" the same, mentally.
However, the process through which Enhanced Humans are created results in a serious drawback. Many often have their memories erased, or damaged. Enhanced Humans are typically more unstable than Newtypes as well; both mentally and emotionally.

SRW Appearances Excluding Original Generation, there's been an Enhanced Human in every SRW game.
Notable Enhanced Humans: Zero Murasame (A.K.A. Proto Zero) Four Murasame Rosamia Badim Puru Two Mashmar Cero Gyunei Guss
Newtypes in SRW The Enhanced Human Ability in SRW was exactly the same as the Newtype ability. Read the previous post for details.
Extra Note: The Japanese term used throughout the series for this group is "Kyouka Ningen" which literally translates into "Fortified Human"; but hey, enhanced, fortified, they're both synonyms. Either is correct. #nosmileys#nosmileys
