You then have to go and define a difference between UC beams and beams in any other series. And the difference is not easy to make. It's just a lot easier to take this interpretation since, not only is it much better explained, it's also officially accepted. True, but there's no reason a general anti-B barrier can't exist (one which works on weapons). Of course, this argument is veering into pointless hypothetical rumination.

Well, hold on a sec, there. It says it was designed to absorb the kinetic energy of Mega Perticles. That sounds like a buffer to me. In that case, the coating would affect any type of particle, no matter it's charge. It's just slowing it down before it reaches the armor. Now, if beam coating somehow works off of the particle being neutral, we have a fault in physics, which I guess is ok since it's anime and all. You can't really deflect a neutral charged particle, since particles with no charge are attracted to objects of any charge.

Beam sabers do damage with raw plasma, not the field surrounding the plasma.

Alteisen's Square Claymore is -type in OG and OG2. The OG games don't have a dual Fist/Shoot type, so I'd recommend changing it (and its upgrades) to .

I was also thinking the Claymore weapons might deserve an (R) tag.

Beam sabers do damage with raw plasma, not the field surrounding the plasma. I don't understand your statement. I'm not too familiar with the properties of plasma other than it's a state in between matter and energy, but I would think it would still be slowed down by Beam Coating, since it sounds like the theory behind beam coating is simply to slow down particles before impact, not to repel them with magnetic forces.

They do damage by melting through the target's armor with the heat of the plasma, and not with mega particles. Is that better?

Avitar> I'm pretty sure Berrik's right. Beam sabers deal damage by heat induction, not by actually applying the energy of the particles to the target directly.
Oh, yes. I have found that the much loved and hated Pellzein Richkeit might actually be named "Persönlichkeit," (Pronounced Perzoen-lih-kite, German pronounces the "per" in "person" like how we say "Pear," not "purr.") meaning "Personality."
I have to see the kana again to confirm this, but it's the only German word I ever found that was close to the name of Alfimy's mighty mech. There were also some unofficial sources that called it by this name.

I guess that debunks it. It may be a wordplay instead.

Hmm... on the topic of Pellzein, I've seen many Japanese sources use "Persön Lichkeit" instead. Mostly SRC ones but still... hmm~
Oh and if you check IMPACT, Alt shoots a LOT more bearing pellets out in its Claymore attacks. I'd think (V) is still more appropriate~
