Sakura ShingujiBirthdate: 7/28/1905 Height: 155cm Weight: 44kg Three Sizes: 82/56/81 Blood Type: A Birthplace: Sendai, JapanSakura was born in Sendai and is the daughter of Colonel Kazuma Shinguji, who served with Lieutenant General Yoneda during the Demon Wars. Like her father, Sakura has inherited the "Blood of the Destroyers of Evil," which combined with what are known as the Three Sacred Treasures, can be used to seal enormous evil power, but at the cost of the user's life. Carrying on in her father's footsteps, Sakura learned the Northern Long Blade sword style in order to earn the right to wield her father's sword- the Spirit Sword Arataka. In order to bolster the strength of the Flower Division, General Yoneda personally travelled to Sendai to bring Sakura into the Flower Division. Upon mastering the powerful Cherry Blossom Spirit Attack, Sakura was permitted to return with Yoneda to Tokyo, and take up defending the Imperial Capital, like her father before her. Being the newest member of the Flower Division wasn't exactly easy for the naive newcomer. Sakura had to overcome her inexperience and prove herself to her comrades in order to gain acceptance within the group. In the end, however, she proved herself a loyal friend and worthy asset of the Flower Division- both on the stage, and on the battlefield. Operating her Koubu was one of her most difficult challenges. Her inability to control the mecha, combined with her enormous spiritual power, led to some chaotic incidents whenever she attempted to operate the Spirit Armor. But at this, too, she managed to overcome adversity and rise to the challenge as a proficient pilot. Source

Sumire KanzakiBirthdate: 1/8/1907 Height: 161cm Weight: 50kg Three Sizes: 83/57/84 Blood Type: B Birthplace: Yokohama, JapanSumire is the only daughter and heir to the fabulously wealthy Kanzaki family, which has built an empire of industry and other holdings throughout Japan. Highly opinionated, Sumire constantly has to be the center of attention, and thinks that her opinion matters above everyone else's. This leaves her constantly butting heads with Kanna, who has made it her hobby to rain on Sumirefs parade. An extremely talented actress, Sumire fiercely defends her assertion of being the "Top Star" of the Flower Division, which the others have come to accept. Even though she comes off at times like a snobbish prima donna, a stereotypical "poor little defenseless rich girl" she is not. Sumire is a master of the Kanzaki Fujin Ryu style on the Naginata, and is one of the Flower Divisionfs most aggressive fighters. During a chance visit to Kanzaki Heavy Industries to visit her grandfather when she was younger, the company was working on the development of the Koubu. Regrettably, all the test pilots the Imperial Army had provided proved too weak in spiritual power to move the mecha. When Sumirefs massive spiritual energy set off the detectors in the room, she volunteered to try and pilot the prototype Koubu. Succeeding beyond the engineers' wildest expectations, Sumire made the project successful and development was able to proceed on the Koubu for the Capital Defense Program. Given that this is the case, Sumire feels a sense of proprietorship over the rest of the Flower Division; because without her, there would probably be no Koubu for the girls to fight with in the first place. Iris ChateaubriandBirthdate: 7/5/1913 Height: 115cm Weight: 18kg Three Sizes: ?/?/? Blood Type: AB Birthplace: Champagne, FranceIris, real name Aeris, was born in Champagne, France, and is the only daughter of Count Chateaubriand of Champagne. Due to her incredible psychic power, Iris was secluded from the outside world most of her young life until Ayame arrived and convinced her parents to allow her to come to Japan and join the Flower Division, where she would be among girls who possess power akin to her own. As a member of the Flower Division, Iris has always been a big draw for the Flower Division's stage performances. She's a talented actress, but strongly dislikes anyone making reference to her childish nature, regardless of the fact that she constantly carries around her beloved teddy bear. Iris is always eager to help out the others, and is very perceptive when it comes to the feelings of the rest of the group. Iris is especially fond of Ohgami in particular, and refers to him as "Oniichan" or "Big Brother." When the Flower Division goes into battle, Iris puts her incredible powers to work against the forces of evil. Whether it's telekinesis, teleportation, or just blowing the enemy away with a burst of energy, Iris' contributions to the battle are indispensable. Her Koubu is her favorite color, yellow, and can be seen constantly teleporting around the battlefield, throwing the enemy into disarray trying to keep up with her. Though in the Sakura Wars TV series, Iris doesn't take part in the combat duties of the Flower Division until later on in the series. Source

Maria TachibanaBirthdate: 6/19/1903 Height: 186cm Weight: 65kg Three Sizes: 88/60/90 Blood Type: O Birthplace: RussiaCool and reserved, Maria was born in Russia and fought during the chaos of the Russian Revolution, where her ferocity on the fiery battlefield earned her the nickname gKazuar.h After leaving Russia, Maria fell in with the New York Mafia, where Major Ayame Fujieda met her, and then brought her back to Japan to join the Flower Division. A brilliant strategist and fighter, Maria served as the first Captain of the Flower Division. Maria, however, felt that she would be better suited to assist a commander and help make strategic decisions, and requested Ayame bring in someone who would be better suited to unite and organize the Flower Division in to a more cohesive unit. A talented actress on stage, Maria is said to look absolutely dashing in menfs attire, and can commonly be found portraying the charming Prince in the various productions that the Flower Division puts on. Ichiro OgamiBirthdate: 1/3/1903 Height: 176cm Weight: 65kg Blood Type: A Birthplace: Tochikigen, JapanUpon graduating from the Naval Academy, 2nd Lt. Ichiro Ohgami received a rather unexpected command appointment. He was tasked with taking command of an all-female theater troupe. He was bewildered to say the least, all of his military training and he gets stuck being a ticket clipper at the Great Imperial Theater? In reality, this was but a mere guise to hide the Troupe's real identity- The Imperial Floral Assault Troupe, Hanagumi, or "Flower Division." Being one of the few men in the Japanese Military with enough spiritual power to even move the Koubu, Ohgami received the task of serving as a catalyst that would unify the hearts of his new squad into a cohesive fighting unit. Kind, understanding, and confident, Ohgami's devotion to duty and his fondness for everyone in the Flower Division make him highly suited to handle the challenges he faces as the Flower Division's Captain. In battle, Ohgami is an excellent tactician and is capable of making snap decisions that allow the Flower Division to prevail in their high-stakes battles against the various dark forces that threaten the peace of the Imperial Capital. Off the field, Ohgami diligently works to see that all of the girls' needs are met, and he contributes enormously to the upkeep of the Great Imperial Theater, particularly in the high-stakes field of ticket clipping. Maya IbukiMaya Ibuki is one of the three computer techs who work with the three MAGI computers in NERV, which were created by the late Naoko Akagi. Her responsiblity is to monitor the computer CASPAR. At NERV, Maya often works closly with Naoko's daughter, Ritsuko, which is usually in the form of monitoring the performance of the EVAs three teenaged pilots. Professionally, the two of them are just about inseparable. However, Maya's feelings for Ritsuko might run deeper than anyone knows. Source

Misato "Snake Charmer" KatsuragiAt fourteen years of age, Misato Katsuragi witnessed what could have been the end of the world. She, along with the rest of her family, were dragged to Antarctica along with a scientific team led by Gendo Rokubungi (Gendo Ikari before he married Yui) to study the being that was later known as Adam, the 1st Angel. Misato's father was studying Adam's means of energy in what he called the Super Solenoid (or S-2) engine. His research had taken him away from his family for long periods of time, which had caused Misato's mother much grief. Misato had grown to hate her father, and was glad when her mother had finally decided to divorce him. On September 12, 2000, Gendo had been recalled to Japan by Keel Lorenz, the leader of SEELE, who sponsored the expedition. The next day, Adam broke free and went berserk, melting the Antarctic ice cap and shifting the Earth's axis in the event which would be later known as the Second Impact. During the chaos, Misato's father, dying of his wounds, placed his injured daughter in an escape capsule and sealed it before he died. Misato later opened the capsule when it was floating in the sea, where she witnessed Adam causing havoc in what had once been a living continent. Misato was the only survivor. For two years afterward, Misato lived in silence in a mental hospital in Japan, the only visible scars of her experience on her torso. Eventually, she came out of her shell and attended college, where she was known to be a constant talker, except in matters pertaining to the Second Impact. It was at college that she met Ritsuko Akagi, and the two became good friends. It was also in college she met Ryoji Kaji, at one time spending a whole week having sex with him. After graduation, Misato joined the Gehirn Project, which later became NERV. She and Kaji moved to Germany to work with the designated Second Child, Asuka Langley Sohryu. It was also there that she broke up with Kaji, mainly because she felt that he was too much like her father. In 2015, Misato moved to NERV's main headquarters in Tokyo-3, two days after the First Child, Rei Ayanami, was injured in a Unit 00 activation test. The very next day Sachel, the 3rd Angel, attacked Tokyo-3, and she volunteered to pick up Gendo's son Shinji, who was identified by the fictitious Marduk Report as the Third Child (in truth, all assignments were personally made by Gendo). As NERV's Operations Manager, Captain (later Major) Katsuragi has a brilliant tactical mind, often coming up with life-saving strategies as soon as the information came in. One of her most spectacular examples was "Operation Yashima", which involved using an experimental positron rifle to destroy the 5th Angel (Ramiel), whose charged particle beam made hand-to-hand combat with the Evangelions impossible. Her main motivation for her duties was a quest against the Angels for revenge for the death of her father, which is unusual because she hated her father so much. However, Misato's home life seems to contradict her orderly work ethic. Her apartment (which she shares with Shinji and later Asuka) is usually littered with liquor bottles, empty beer cans, trash bags, empty beer cans, TV dinner trays, empty beer cans, food scraps (did I mention empty beer cans?). Her cooking is awful, which is unusual because all she has is frozen and instant foods. Her refrigerator (not the one where her pet penguin Pen Pen lives in) is usually filled with snack foods, bagged ice, and to quote Shinji, "fifty gallons of beer". Misato's idea of breakfast is a piece of toast and two beers. She often lounges about the apartment in almost next to nothing... much to Shinji's embarrassment. His friends, Toji Suzahara and Keisuke Aida, however, think that Shinji is very lucky to be have someone as beautiful as Misato as his guardian (this is part of the reason Shinji's so embarrassed). Misato's driving is often the terror of the roads. She has wrecked many a sports car because of her carelessness (however, the car she wrecked when she picked up Shinji doesn't count, as the military used an N-2 mine to attempt to destroy Sachel, and the car got caught in the shockwave). Her behavior is usually very immature, often throwing fits over the littlest of things. She also enjoys pushing Shinji's buttons, liking the way he gets angry. However, she also believes that by doing this, she is helping Shinji to express his feelings more. During her stay at NERV's headquarters, Misato was reunited with Kaji. At first, the two were hostile with each other. But as time went on, they rekindled their love for each other... so much that Kaji felt like he could trust Misato with his secret work, which was trying to find out what NERV was really up to... and to find out the truth of the Human Instrumentality Project (Kaji was later killed by SEELE agents). Soletta Orihime[/color] Birthdate: 7/7/1907 Height: 158cm Weight: 47kg Three Sizes: 84/56/83 Blood Type: B Birthplace: ItalyDescended from Italian Nobility, Orihime joined the Flower Division with Reni after the Hoshigumi, or Star Division, had been disbanded. Due to the angst her Japanese father caused her mother, Orihime had a strong dislike of Japanese men, and ostracized Ohgami from the beginning for obvious reasons. However, after Orihime reconciled with her father, who was working as a painter in Teito, Orihime and Ohgami finally became good friends and she stopped making things difficult for him, and treating him like he was the scum of the Earth. While somewhat abrasive at times, Orihime is confident in her skills as an actress and as a combatant. Though Orihime may give off a prissy impression at first glace, behind this contradictory exterior lies a talented and reliable teammate who serves the Flower Division with the utmost distinction. A capable fighter in battle, Orihime's Koubu is a magenta color, and shoots explosive fireballs that rain down on her opposing targets. Source

Leni MilchstrasseBirthdate: 24/12/1909 Height: 147cm Weight: 38kg Blood Type: O Birthplace: GermanyThe byproduct of extensive indoctrination and training in Germany, Reni transferred to the Flower Division from the Hoshigumi, or Star Division, which had previously been disbanded. Due to her extensive conditioning, Reni was a loner who had great difficulty expressing her feelings to others. Incidentally, when Reni first joined the Flower Division, the others thought that Reni was not a girl, but a boy. This was later clarified by accident by Ohgami during an incident in the second Sakura Taisen game. Reni seems to be closest to Orihime, due to the two's past affiliation with the Hoshigumi, her friendship with Iris is also quite prominent as well. Calm, reserved, and unwavering, Reni's talent for battle is extraordinary. Her conditioning in Germany refined her judgment to the point where this wunderkind can react swiftly in any situation that arises, on or off the field. On the stage, too, Reni performs brilliantly as an actress, and keeps up with the rest of the girls with the greatest of ease. Reni's Koubu, which she brought with her from the Hoshigumi, uses a lance as its primary weapon. Given the nature of the weapon, Reni's talent for maneuvering it against enemy armored units is truly exceptional. Source

After the project was frozen at the end of 1918, she was active on Broadway as an actress under the control of Kenjin Kikan (Sage Agents). In 1926, Ratchet (20 years old) joins the TKD Hanagumi. Her acting ability is world-class, like Orihime's and Reni's. Her battle ability is also superior, but her principle is "Winning comes first", so she doesn't care the damage of surroundings. Source

Rei AyanamiRei Ayanami is one of the most enigmatic characters one can ever meet. Her career and genetic background up to the present have been erased, and even when one's been around her for a while, it's impossible to decipher much about her. No one talks to her, and she rarely speaks. She is a silent, solitary soul, and even when she does speak, her words leave no clue about her. The first impression we get of her is quite shocking: wrapped in bandages and definitely not in good physical shape (it had resulted from a Unit 00 activation accident one week before). Yet, she's called upon to pilot Unit 01 (which Shinji Ikari refused to pilot at first). However, so as not to have her go through more ordeal, Shinji changes his mind. As Ritsuko Akagi once commented, "she's not very adept at living." Rei lives alone in her apartment. The surrounding area is under construction and very noisy, and the apartment itself isn't too clean. Rei seems to smile for only one person: Gendo Ikari, whom she treats like a father. This only appears to complicate the situation between Shinji and his father, yet she seems to show her own affections for Shinji, especially when she helps him in EVA combat (even though she did slap him once when he spoke bad of Gendo). As the war draws on, however, Rei finds herself in dire straits at the hands of the 16th Angel, so Rei makes a grand sacrifice by destroying her EVA and herself. And then...she seems to have miraculously recovered. Rei, you see, was created by Gendo from a combination of an Angel's DNA (Lilith) and the late Yui Ikari's (Shinji's mother) DNA. In fact, there are numerous clones of her hidden away in Terminal Dogma. These Reis are in fact the key to the "Dummy Plug" system. Her genetic background would explain her distinct similarity in appearance to Yui Ikari. Also, the Rei Ayanami most people see is in fact the second. The first was choked to death by Dr. Naoko Akagi (Ritsuko's mother) when she let loose a startling secret. And so the miraculous recovery wasn't really what it seems. Rei did die, but another Rei then awakened. [/li][li] You know what, I'm reverting Rei back to her original personality (or at least, she should be more like that Rei in Evangelion TV Episode 26), since Rei...doesn't really do well as Genjo Sanzo.Source
