About time, I guess. Looks like the fight app's still a clutter, even though us SC Mods (SC1, to be exact) have been deleting completed fights as they've been done, the fight app's page count's still stuck around 10 pages or so, which means there are about 150 fights waiting in line, while the capacity of both SCs combined are roughly about 20 fights at once... which is quite a problem.
And thus, from here to an unspecified time in the future (most likely until we're down to, like, 2-3 pages of fight apps), the Fight Application Thread will be locked, and no one can post in new apps during this time. I'll give everyone 48 hours from now to finalize your apps and finish up queueing your fights. Lockdown will start on Jan 7th, 9.00 PM EST (GMT -5) .
Also, after the lockdown, we'll be implementing a new system for the fight application thread. That is, instead of what we have now, we'll have each and every single member of the SC to have one and only one post in the fight application thread at all times, where in that post, he or she can have five fights at max. This way, it'll prevent cluttering in the fight app thread, as well as making it easier for us mods to monitor the fights.
While the Fight App are in the lockdown, we highly encourage you guys to fight more in the SCEX and PA, and event fights as well.
PS: Just noticed when I'm in the process of writing this.. I'll still be in the plane back to US at the time where the app's supposed to be locked down, so... Blaine or Berlap, mind helping me locking it down?

It should be pointed out that Bonuses can be "queued" during the lockdown by approaching a mod directly and asking, so don't worry too much if you don't get all the fights you want queued. Of course, you need to be in the chan, and catch one of us. And it'll be a bonus, so you and your opponent must be ready for that.

****IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***
Wesley came up with a smashing good idea. Since there are a lot of fights going up and coming down recently, it would greatly make the clean-up easier if all members were to PM me (either IRC or board) with a list of their completed matches, so I can cross them out and/or delete them swiftly. A Page where I can find the applications is also helpful. Don't worry if the page number changes due to the deletion, I can stumble around the general area and find it.
Also, please look through the queue and find matches you may be a part of that you cannot/don't wish to participate in anymore. Some members have gone AWOL, making matches that were queued when they were around hard to complete.

As long as we're working to cut down the fight queue, there's something that I'd like you players to do.
Please check both SCs daily to see if you have a fight opened, and deploy as soon as possible. If there is a mistake in opening the fight on our part, or if you would like it canceled, or if you can't deploy, please tell us as well instead of letting it sit there, because if we've opened it then we usually can't tell.
What I'm going to do is start enforcing prones during deploys as long as the queue is locked. There is no reason that we should have to remind you when your fights are opened, and leaving a fight sit there undeployed is going to be killing the entire point of trying to cut down the queue without outright nuking the entire thing.
As well, please come to us to have fights opened where you can have it done. It's a lot easier to cut down the queue this way, instead of everyone kind of sitting around and us not having a clue who can and can't really fight.
We would like to get your fights going, but you will have to work with us. Thank you.

Even more breaking news. We, the SC1 mods, are likely going to start deleting fight applications as they go up, rather than after they finish. This process won't begin until we can all confer that it's indeed the best idea.
Don't wanna make a big decision without the Red Comet's imput. He might drop a colony on us.
Also, everything Kait just said is true. Listen, or you'll get a Final Getter Tomahawk that'll leave you and most of where you live in ashes.
And send in your list of fights to be deleted! Closed or cancelled, any fight not in the queue makes it that much smaller.

Actually, I've been thinking about that (deleting fight app as they go up) in these past few days. Just haven't had the chance to ask the other mods on how they feel about it.
So.. yeah, I'll give it a go signal.
Also, I encourage all of you to take a look to the entire fight app, and if you find anything that has your name in it that has either been done or cancelled in the past, or those that you don't want to do the fight anymore for whatever reason, please PM us SC1 mods bout it, and we'll nuke that fight off the list.
Your attention and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
