Basics:
The R&D needs a third governing Mod, so the workload on my and Imban is reduced, and we can start to put out our own customizations. So we've decided to create a test to determine who gets the position. In this thread, four customization requests will be posted. Applicants will stat the units as if they were an R&D mod. The one who does the best stats wins.
Rules:
You may treat this as if they were real applications, and may thusly add or subtract to a request as needed. Bonus points go to those who know WHEN TO DENY CERTAIN ABILITIES, or WHEN TO GIVE ADDITIONAL ABILITIES. Be creative, work with what's given to create interesting units, but make sure they arn't broken.
Due Date:
On December 29th and 30th, I will start judging the various applicants. For those buisy those days, you may post that you will give them before noon of the 31st. While I understand this is a short due date, we need a mod before January if we are to run effecciently.
How to Submit:
Submitting is simple, either post in the thread with your four units, or if you're shy. IM them over the board to me, with the subject heading of the test.

Giant Robo

Subject was dubbed the "Iron Giant" by local inhabitants. Subject appears about 50 metres tall, and comprised entirely of metal. The "Iron Giant" survives off a diet of scrap metal from a local junkyard. Initial observations of the creature have found it to be capable of speach, logic, and reasoning. It seemed as if alive, and aware of it's own existence. It also developed a friendship with a local boy, who appears to have been the first one to discover it. Despite being a giant robotic monster, the creature appears friendly. However, should there be any displays of violence towards the "Iron Giant", a protective system activates. The specifics of this system are covered in annex A. [The rest of this page, and the next few pages appear to have been torn out.] Annex A: Weapon and Defensive Systems of the IRON GIANT. The metal of the Iron Giant is unlike anything seen to man currently. It is deemed highly unlikely that the robot is of Earthly origin. The metal is highly resistant to any attack made by the Army. The robot was only "defeated" when it intercepted a nuclear missile in orbit before it could strike the town. Apparently, however, the robot is capable of repairing his structure. Even after what appeared to be total destruction, all recovered pieces of the machine suddenly began moving, presumably towards where the main part of the robot landed. This appears to be a slow process, but it seems fast enough that the amount of damage the Army inflicted was wiped away immedieatly. The weapon systems of the Iron Giant are just as beyond our understanding as the structure. When the defensive system activates, the Iron Giant becomes a veritable armoury of weapons. The first displayed weapons were a set of energy beams which fire from the eyes. These beams were capable of burning through many layers of our armour, and proved devistating against our weapons. Next, the monster has 2 energy weapons in the arms. One is capable of very high powered energy blasts, and the other is some sort of charging weapon that seems to compress the target into nothingness, utterly destroying it. The Iron Giant also has 3 energy weapons mounted on flexible "arms" which emerge from the back. These weapons are capable of devistating fire in any direction. Lastly, the Iron Giant has a massive energy cannon mounted in it's chest. This cannon appears to use up a lot of power, but fires a huge ball of energy that would have completly erraticated the fleet had the Giant not been shocked before the weapon fired. As long as the Iron Giant has had a supply of metal beforehand, it appears that it's energy reserves are limitless. The Army was not capable of showing any real limitations of it's capabilities, and given the current technology level of the world, it's unlikely any of the current powers can. We can only be thankful that it only acted in self-defence, else there would have been nothing we could have done to stop it. Report ends.

The Divine Whisper of Heavenly Judgement Behind the Mask of Steel
This is a mod of Shinsei Rahxephon (Ayato)
Yes, the Divine Whisper of Heavenly Judgement Behind the Mask of Steel is indeed the title of this mecha. However, let's call it something simpler. How about "the Divine Whisper" or "Whisper of Judgement." That'll do for this demonstration.
The basic premise is that while the Shinsei Rahxephon is very nifty, indeed, it's pretty cool, it lacks all of the interesting-looking attacks of the first Rahxephon. So, that stated, let's make it look a little more like Rahxephon in its infant state.
Because the Divine Whisper is, well, a whisper, it isn't quite capable of bellowing out tremendous songs. Or is it? We'll give it two forms. The first form, the Whisper of Judgement, is the standard appearance of it. In this form, it has a few melee manuevers, such as Heavenly Martial Arts, and a Sword of Judgement. It's capable of using Darkness of the Heavens, which resembles the original Transparent Light in intention, only, since this version turns the sky black when it is used, as part of its attack, it should probably be an (S) attack. A final note is the Chains of Justice, which are used to restrain those who would escape divine wrath.
When it removes its mask, one half in each hand, it is the Sacred Song of Heavenly Wrath of the Mask of Steel Unveiled. Or the Song of Wrath. It is capable of using attacks that more closely resemble the Shinsei Rahxephon's own. These should probably drain a bit more EN, though, the why of which I will explain shortly.
When the Mask is on, it is stronger in defense. When removed, it becomes somewhat more fragile. Also, it should probably get a useful to slight amount of EN Regen when the Mask is on, since the mecha isn't straining itself to produce the power of the Songs. This should probably mean the EN maximum is modified, as well, so it isn't able to use the "omgwtfbbq" songs of the original Ayato too freely (Ayato has finite EN, by comparison).
So, there you go.

In the ensuing struggle for control, a girl claiming to be the second released clone of Ayanami Rei reborn used 'her' Evangelion Unit 00 Kai to defend the remnants of Japan. Over the course of her fighting, it became apparent that the Evangelion Unit 00 Kai was in great need of an upgrade. The first upgrade made dealt with the power source. Without regular access to a power grid as great as that which the old Tokyo-3 provided, Eva 00 Kai 2 utilized a series of four ultracompact nuclear reactors, one mounted on each shoulder and one mounted in the armor of each leg. While not nearly as limitless a power source as the old umbilical cable provided, the upgrade allowed for greater mobility, a great boon in the battles to come. Second, to compensate for the added weight, the Kai 2 mounted no weaponry on its frame other than a Progressive Knife. Instead, an autonomous, remotely-piloted fighter plane was developed to supply it, much like the one used by Curiana Rimskaya to protect Earth from the threat of the Ruina (see: report on this event, titled "Super Robot Wars Destiny"). This fighter plane could launch or drop many of the weapons that Evangelion Unit 00 Kai previously equipped, allowing for greater mobility without sacrificing armament. However, due to the capacity of the fighter plane, two Pallet Rifles were stored on it, capable of simultaneous use by the Kai 2 Evangelion. Furthermore, the ammunition capacity of the useful Needle Launcher System was doubled. However, because of limited resources in the rebuilt world, certain weapons could not be supplied. The support fighter carries no N2 mines, nor does it carry the legendary Lance of Longinus. The Positron Sniper Rifle was, while recreated, not considered feasible for use, as it drained almost the entire power output of Tokyo-3. To compensate for this, additional weaponry was developed. Twin six-tube missile launchers were added to the fighters' launch bays, for use against enemy light armor. Furthermore, a "reaction bazooka" was designed for heavy combat duties. Utilizing an incredibly exothermic reaction, this weapon projected a wave of searing heat that could melt unprotected robots in milliseconds. Unfortunately, this reaction contaminated the walls of the bazooka, rendering it incapable of repeated use. Finally, Ayanami Rei herself provided the last component of this Evangelion. Fusing it with the reborn Sachiel, still in an embryonic state, her Evangelion gained the ability manifest particle beams from its hands. While the reborn Ikari Shinji considered this maneuver risky and likely to awaken the fused Sachiel, Ayanami Rei seems perfectly confident in its safety...

At the front of this force, the young man named Shinji Ikari was the greater of the four teenage pilots. However, the young man known as Touji Suzuhara was not content with being inferior to his friend Shinji. After the Balmar War, Touji decided that his rather plain EVA needed a boost. So, taking his complaints directly to the NERV mainainance team, he went about getting his plans realized. The first thing he did was add something that none of the other three EVAs had. EVA-01 had its large katana, so Touji decided he would give his EVA a double-bladed staff, to strike with much more force than the ogressive Knife which came standard on all EVAs. The added movements required to score seamless strikes was much more taxing on the unit than a simple stab, however, making it less efficient. Next, he had the Positron Rifle altered, able to plug directly into the EVA's power systems to draw more energy into the shot. This increased the output of the rifle, but again made it less efficient in the event that the internal battery was required to use. He shrugged it off however, wanting desperately to outshine Shinji in something. The next change he worked on was actually not a hardware modification. Touji had seen Asuka attack with her AT Field before, and it had given him the idea to wrap an AT Field around the EVA-03's fist, allowing for a powerful puncturing strike, able to leave gaping holes rather than slices.His work done for now, Touji sat and waited for the day to try it out in actual combat. Summary: -Slight HP upgrade. Enough to warrant the evolution. -Change Postiron Rifle to EN use, and boost power. -Addition of Progressive Slicer. If you can think of a better word for it, be my guest. -Addition of AT Field Attack. Similar to Distortion Attack, but possibly an Armor-Piercing ability or an Armor Breaker. It's made to puncture.
