The trip to Japan was both uneventful and frankly, quite boring for Arche. The only thing remotely amusing was seeing the smoke on the horizon upon arriving at Japan. Arche, completely happy at this turn of events, hopped on her broom about to ly out of the Medea when a familiar voice rung over the radio.
"Oh I don't think so," the doctor said, "Trying to use the attack as a guise for escape, I'm not that stupid."
"So?" Arche said defiantly, "I could simply blow open the hatch on this thing and be out kicking ass in no time."
"Well, things go a bit differently here," Regris said, "Look out the cockpit window again, we should be in visual distance."
Arche looked out the window, and aside from the explosions and faint shouts of people screaming, she noticed that the things causing the destruction were... rather large.
"See, if you had rushed out there, you'd probably get swatted down like a fly," Regris said, smirking, "Not that I'd mind too much, but orders are orders. I'll go down and engage the monsters, and you can stay in the Medea nice and safe."
"Sir, we're approching the site, please board your mech," said another voice, female, over the radio.
"Okay," the doctor sighed, apparently combat wasn't favored in his eyes, "Well then, I'll see you later. Be sure to worry a lot and jump into my arms when I get back."
"hah, like I'd ever do somehting like that for a creep like you!" Arche yelled.
"Hey, I can wish right?" Regris said, "Open hailing frequencies with that Hagane-class mothership and see about letting them know we're on their side."
"Yes sir," said the pilot.

From the moment he'd returned to Japan Seth Uesegi had felt an insistent pull on his mind. A call to return to the ruins of the Organization, to revisit the remains of an earlier life. The dawn saw him driving there, his EF uniform feeling strangely confining, the massive shape of the Hagane-class mothership in Tokyo's harbor seemed more forboding than comforting, and the federation buggy shaking and clattering more than usual. He knew from the moment he arrived that people had been there not a day earlier. There were no outward signs of it, but his mind fixated on it nonetheless. He walked as if in a daze into the ruined hangar, through a door well-hidden enough that it had evaded their notice, and typed a series of commands into the terminal there without knowing what they were, or what the machine itself was. As he re-entered the hangar proper a portion of the floor had slid aside, a proud looking white and black mecha slowly rising from within. It gleamed in the early morning sun despite many parts of it showing signs of being incomplete. As the chest rose above the floor Seth casually stepped into the cockpit, going through the startup sequence he already knew. That the machine was designed for him was a fack he already knew. It was only when the Mitsuhama OS splash screen showed up that he finally regained his senses. "What.....what is this...what happened to me?" His questions were answered by the startup checklist displayed on the panel in front of him. Ebanis was currently in awe at his own luck. He was supposed to be flying to Wisconsin to see some relatives with his immediate family- However, due to several meaningless circumstances and quite a bit of pickpocketing, he had ended up in Japan, without relatives but with all of their money. Quite simply, he was about to explode and land about as mounds of nerdy goo.
